My practice focuses on working with survivors of trauma, people experiencing a crisis of meaning or purpose, and people working through religious/spiritual questioning, including religious trauma. I use EMDR (which is a comprehensive approach not merely a technique) to treat trauma. In working with issues of meaning and purpose, I use mindfulness and focusing-oriented strategies. With spiritual or religious issues I take a non-sectarian approach, which means I engage with you in whatever terms make sense to you.
EMDR is widely accepted as one of the most empirically validated treatments for trauma and is recommended by the World Health Organization and many other bodies. Everything else I do is EMDR-adjacent, informed by or deeply aligned with the methodology of EMDR.
