Handspring is a modern mental health clinic that provides personalized, evidence-based behavioral care for children, adolescents, and young adults. We currently serve children ages 10-18 and young adults ages 18-24 who are looking for treatment for anxiety, depression, or behavioral difficulties. Our therapeutic approaches include CBT, DBT, organizational skills training, behavior therapy, exposure & response prevention, and parent management training.

You are a woman who is going through separation and divorce and struggling with whether you made the right decision. Whether you are feeling anxious or depressed or grieving a loss of a loved one or a relationship and you feel overwhelmed, I am here to help you! I work with teens and women who have experienced traumatic situations and feel like there is no joy in their lives.

I work with all individuals, children and youth, families and groups. I have a special love for working with pre-teens into early adulthood as well as adoptees (all ages), fosterees (all ages) and former foster youth. I am specialized in foster care, adoption, reunification, those who have experienced childhood institution (Hospitalizations and Residential Treatment Facilities) and parent-child attachment. I also specialize in racial trauma, institutional racism, Grief/Loss and identity.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I aspire to counsel clients collaboratively towards their individualized goals using a solution focused approach. I have been working in the field since 2005 and have experience providing individual, family, and couples counseling. I enjoy working with all ages. I currently offer individual supervision for counselors working towards their LPC licensure. Supervisees will be accepted on a case by case basis.

I have 20 years in the public school system and I am versed in the school systems and special education. More recently I moved to private practice and I am working to fulfill the last steps in my professional counseling license. I work with ages 5 and over, including college students and adults. I am also a parent of teens, so I understand the struggles that come during those years.

My name is Dr. Jeff Selman and I am a licensed psychologist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and a certified school psychologist. I offer evidence-based psychological services to individuals across the lifespan and their families. These services include Autism and ADHD assessment, individual and family therapy, parent behavior management training and coaching, and consultation and training for schools and community agencies. My approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and behavior therapy, and my sessions tend to be active, collaborative, goal-oriented, and engaging.

I believe that warmth, understanding and compassion are the key to any successful and supportive therapeutic relationship and these qualities are the foundation of my practice. I have been providing counseling services to individuals, couples and families for a number of years in a variety of settings and one thing has always been the same; I learn something new from each and every client and the relationship that is built through the course of treatment is where the healing is created. I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has been working within the field for 10+ years. My work focuses on both assessment and treatment of toddlers, children, and teens who are experiencing difficulties with behavior, mood, development, and cognition. Though I tailor my treatment to the individual needs of each client, I most often incorporate behavioral and solution-focused techniques and work collaboratively with others in the child's life. Now in private practice, I previously worked for various schools and clinics in Chicago, IL, Nationwide Children' s Hospital in OH, and the National Institutes of Health in MD.

I’ve worked with ages 4-18, as well as adults. I have experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, parents, and families dealing with a wide range of challenges including the impacts of generational trauma, parent-child relational challenges, and relational difficulties. I’ve also worked with a wide range of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, autism, adjustment disorders, PTSD, personality disorders and mood disorders.
