I love working with children and families as they address significant social, emotional and behavior concerns. I seek to help parents or caregivers understand that their child's behavior is trying to communicate something, and together we figure out what the unmet need is and how to provide support and meet the child's needs in alternative ways. I also partner with the child to help them learn how to communicate their wants and needs in safe and appropriate ways by teaching them alternative replacement behaviors instead!

My three consistent modalities I use are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Building Relationships, Psychosocial Stages. I am available to work with clients that are ready for change & have an open mind to change. I offer a free Parenting Support Group Program every other month, via zoom. Dive Right In Parenting Program for parents that are burned out, overwhelmed, and not implementing Self-care in their daily life.

My name is Kathy Bleitner. I earned my Master of Education in Counseling Degree from the University of Missouri St. Louis and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri. I have experience working with children and families. I use play therapy with young clients, and incorporate cognitive behavior and person centered therapy with adolescents, teens and adults. I believe that with support, patience, and caring, most problems can be overcome. My clinical experience includes: Therapy for depression and anxiety, stress reduction, parenting challenges, autism, ADD and ADHD, learning issues and effective communication skills.
