Holly holds a master's degree from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. She welcomes working with adults, teens, couples, and families regarding relationship conflicts, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance abuse, communication, addictive behaviors, aggression, GLBT issues, parenting and emotional dysregulation. As a group facilitator, Holly is both dynamic and engaging. She is trained in Brainspotting, EMDR, Gottman method, as as well as Aggression Replacement Training. Holly has also worked with Alzheimer's/Dementia, and family caregivers at the University of Minnesota and Fairview Hospital.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over ten years of experience working with couples, families, adults and adolescents. I approach therapy with curiosity and compassion. I believe we are all doing the best we can with what we know, yet there are times on our journey that we seek change, healing or growth. I offer a safe space to explore habits or patterns that are no longer serving you or your relationships. With straightforward, honest and compassionate therapy, I work with you towards healing and contentment.

Because I believe we grow and learn throughout our life, I delight in working with all people. I see therapy as a supportive environment created for the purpose of encouraging one another in times of need, as well as joy. I have specialized experience working with children and families, empowering each during tough transitions such as toddlerhood and adolescence, while collaborating during unexpected and challenging issues like ADHD, anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma and more. I utilize play, narrative, feminist, and mindfulness therapies to encourage hope and develop authentic connections with each person I see.

Even more so, extra support is necessary when transitions bring unexpected elements: difficulty adjusting to becoming a mom, having a baby in the NICU, difficulty finding your footing in marriage, anxiety, depression or loss.

Gregory Simonson, PhD, LP is experienced in psychological evaluation across the lifespan (early childhood, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults) for a range of presenting questions. He has specific interests in assessment related to autism (including expertise on autism presentation in individuals socialized as girls or women), learning, attention, memory, mood/personality concerns, OCD, and trauma. He practices from a trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and culturally-responsive framework to ensure empathetic, person-centered care for queer, pan, trans, nonbinary, gender diverse, lesbian, gay, and bisexual clients.

It is a great honor to be part of one's journey to healing, growth, and empowerment. In my practice, I strive to create an environment of empathy and compassion where clients feel safe to do this work. I couple this with various theoretical frameworks to meet each client, family, or couple's unique needs.

EVOLVE’s Outpatient mental health clinic offers therapeutic support to children, families, couples, and individuals from a child-focused and person-centered, strengths-based approach. Our therapists provide mental health support through a trauma and attachment informed lens, are adoption competent, and culturally responsive. During the COVID-19 health pandemic, therapy sessions are being offered via telehealth, or occasionally in-home if covered by insurance. When it is safe to be fully functional in our offices, therapy sessions are offered at our two office locations (West St. Paul & Stillwater).

My office is a warm and comforting place for you to tell your story, deal with life's stressors, treat depression and anxiety, work on healthy relationships, or heal old wounds. I provide a more holistic perspective in my appraoch to therapy, looking at the total needs you might have to best help you to heal and grow. It is very important to me that you feel heard and well cared for in your therapy process. We will work together to help you to make changes and to feel stronger.

I strive to create a safe and warm environment where people can feel heard and understood, and I work to find a balance between supporting and accepting people as they are, and challenging them to step out of their comfort zone to make the changes they desire for a better life. I believe that relationships can be an important part of the healing process, whether these are with friends and family or the therapeutic relationship built in sessions. I believe in taking a collaborative approach, utilizing the strengths and insights of each person.

*Not currently accepting new clients* I specialize in relationships! I have been a therapist for over thirteen years and continue to learn everyday. I believe therapy is more than simply listening. I will actively listen, reflect, and challenge you, your partnership, or your family to grow. I am also trained in ART which is a procedure that heals using bilateral eye movements to shift sensation and emotion, peeling it away from the images that cause the discomfort.
