Counseling Services of Atlanta offers individual, couples, and family therapy. We offer therapy and counseling services for both adults and children of all ages including video sessions. We now have 4 male therapists and 20 female therapists! We can treat a wide variety of mental health concerns and sessions are available by phone if needed. I enjoy working with diverse individuals experiencing a variety of life stressors including life transitions, complex trauma and child/adolescent social and emotional issues. I believe that everyone can change, yet most don’t have the tools to do so. Early childhood experiences shape the way we see the world, ourselves, and others. We can often go through life without acknowledging our unhealthy, subconscious thoughts until we start to recognize harmful patterns in our lives. "I believe that empowerment is the key to success." I have a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I have worked in the addictions field for over six years. I also work with children and families who struggle with traumas, domestic violence, behavioral, emotional and communication issues. I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) clinical evaluator and treatment provider approved by the Department of Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). I can perform alcohol and drug clinical evaluations for pretrial, DUI convictions and license reinstatement.

I'm passionate about equipping clients with knowledge and skills to help them learn, grow, and heal. I strive to bring genuineness, warmth, and authenticity to my sessions in a way that creates a space safe enough for my clients to do the same. I enjoy working with teens and adults on issues related to perfectionism, people-pleasing, codependency, relationship dynamics, sports performance, and sports injuries. I am a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in working with children and adolescents. I also work with adults. While post-graduate training, and teaching, have increased my skills, what makes me a good therapist are the beliefs I hold dear. I believe in people and their ability to heal and thrive. I truly saw the need for more mental health professionals in my community when I lost my father in 2006. Since that day, I began my journey of understanding the mind and how it works. We go through many major life transitions such as breakups, divorce, having children, new professions, loss of income, moving, pandemic stress and more. Most do not realize just how traumatic these seemingly “normal” events are to us at times.

Sometimes we come to a place where we realize the life we are living is not aligned with our personal values, purpose, or desires.
