I consider myself a relational therapist and believe it is a privilege to sit with people while dealing with life's challenges. Through a multi-discipline approach, integrating the practice of healthy social-emotional strategies, relational repair and positive psychology, I assist the client in their pursuit of personal growth & resolution. I work with people of all ages, individuals, couples, and families. I have a unique specialization with co-parenting dynamics and children five and under as a trained Infant Mental Health Specialist through the Harris Institute of The FSU Center for Prevention and Early Intervention Policy.

I have been working in the counseling field for over 10 years. During that time I have developed a strong skill set for working with clients who struggle with relational challenges, parenting issues, adverse experiences and marital concerns. The complexity of family and marital issues can be challenging; I offer telehealth, in-person, and in-home services to best meet the needs of you and your family.

Working with individuals of color across the income strata has been a lifelong goal I have pursued. Dealing with Adjustment Issues, Stress, Parenting, Depressive, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, and Trauma are some of the more typical issues I manage. I use the modality of individual, group, and family therapy in traditional talk, insight-oriented as well as Play and Sand Tray modalities to elicit underlying and manifest psychological struggles and conflict.

Parenting is hard. Parenting a special needs child is harder. Kids don't come with owner's manuals. If your child happens to have special needs, the situation is often confusing. You want nothing more than to help your child. It's what we do when our children are struggling. Sometimes you just don't know what to do to help. It can leave feeling helpless. You are not alone. I know from personal and professional experience what it takes to make major changes. No matter the nature of his struggle, be it autism, adhd, or some other challenge, you can help your child.

I have been specializing in child/family therapy for over 25 years. I have worked with child of all ages, specializing in the Dependency realm. I have dealt with child who have been sexually and physically abused, and seen parental drug use and domestic violence. I have worked with child who are ADHD and with other mental health disorders. I also work with parents and families in providing therapy. I also provide therapy for adults who believe they would beneift from therapy.
