I am currently not accepting new clients. I am a licensed professional counselor and registered play therapist working in my own practice with children, teens, and adults. While the work we do is serious, I provide a comfortable environment filled with light, humor, and genuine positive regard. I offer a lively and interactive experience regardless of your needs. I am trained in several models, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), play therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS); however, I believe a solid therapeutic relationship is the foundation for growth and change.

With over 30 years of counseling experience, I help individuals bring resolution to a wide range of life challenges with sensitivity and compassion. As a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist, my treatment approach is to provide support with insight and feedback to help clients address current challenges and long-standing issues. Using an integration of complimentary methods from ancient wisdom, modern psychology, neuroscience and holistic education, we work together to focus on strengths, steadiness and building joy with the goal of feeling better, coping with ease and achieving life goals.

I am a school psychologist at Katz Counseling and Educational Psychology. I use a cognitive-behavioral and client-centered approach to counseling children, adolescents, adults, and families. My aim is to help clients identify and improve unproductive thoughts and behaviors. I also teach clients how to recognize and harness their strengths to realize their potential. Comprehensive mental health, academic, intellectual, and personality assessments are offered. These assessments can provide documentation for academic/standardized testing accommodations, vocational rehabilitation, and gifted/special education placement.

I enjoy working with children and families who are struggling in school either academically, behaviorally, or emotionally. I primarily evaluate children and adolescents to assess the presence of learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, depression, and anxiety. My passion is helping children succeed at home and school through a combination of therapy, organizational coaching, behavior management, parental support and educational planning.

I welcome new clients and want them to feel respected and safe. I feel that my years of personal as well as professional experience have given me a greater understanding of what clients are going through. My goal is to help clients to improve their lives and mood as quickly as possible.
