I am interested in working with a person who is committed to understanding and undertaking the therapeutic process. This looks like a willingness to be vulnerable and honest, to dig deep into the state of their mind and body and address the traumas that they may be holding, and ultimately to develop a relationship with me that can facilitate their healing. I specialize in eating disorders, depression, anxiety, family and relational conflicts, and women's issues.
My primary specialty is eating disorders. I take an approach that considers the underlying factors that present themselves as various unhealthy relationships to food. I believe that an eating disorder transcends the realm of the purely physical and that its roots can be found in fear, anger, and developmental processes.
My approach to psychotherapy is grounded in the psychology of Carl Jung, developmental theory, and psychodynamic theory. I focus on the individual as a whole, using humor, dreamwork, and relational intuition to create a safe and healing environment that is conducive to growth and healing.
