As a LPC, I provide individual, family and group therapy. I specialize in sexual abuse, coping skills, severe mental illness, suicidal ideation and crisis intervention. I have several years experience in Testing and Evaluation and am currently a member of the American Psychological Association. My primary theoretical orientation is Choice Theory, which focuses on supporting, encouraging, listening, accepting, trusting, respecting and negotiating differences. Validating clients and their experiences is an important part in building the therapeutic process. My primary focus is working with adolescents and adults.

I've worked with adolescence and families for around 25 years in a variety of settings. These settings include being a youth / children's pastor prior to starting my counseling journey. Much of my experience involves working with those that struggle with abuse, depression, relationship conflict, self harming behaviors, legal issues, and behavior problems. Although I am licensed to practice counseling through the State of Texas, I am a Christian and the fundamentals of my practice are in line with traditional Christian faith.

My goal is to help individuals to get through their emotional problems and traumatic experiences and to heal the pain they feel. I believe in a close connection of body, mind and spirit and think that counseling can very well be approached from this perspective. I have experience with individuals from many different cultures, mentalities, beliefs, religions, and behaviors. I want to help clients heal and become whole again. I want to help them prosper, move forward in life and get what they deserve.

As a TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) Practitioner, I am equipped with techniques designed for children (and their families) who have faced trauma and live with attachment issues. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Family Life Educator.
