The focus of my work as a clinical psychologist for over 27 yrs has been to actively engage with my clients to help them develop a feeling of personal competency and positive self-worth, and an ability to deeply understand where they have been, where they are now, and where they want to go. I strive to provide a safe and nurturing relationship so each person can explore and expand their own creativity in resolving emotional conflicts and difficulties, understanding problems in couple, family, friendship and workplace relationships, making important life decisions and coping with issues of aging.

I do challenge a client to address when their actions are not working toward the goals they have set for therapy.

I have been a marriage and family therapist for over 24 years. With a Master in Divinity, a concentration in Pastoral Counseling, and a PhD in Theology, a concentration in Faith Based Marriage and Family counseling. I see couples and individuals with a focus on "divorce proofing" their marriage. Married with a blended family of seven children, both my wife and I manage an active schedule with strong focus on our faith, each other, and our children. Belinda works with a variety of clients, including adolescents, young adults and women suffering from domestic violence and sexual assault. Belinda uses trauma-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, parent-child psychotherapy, while also incorporating meditative practices, relaxation techniques and similar strategies.

I specialize in students of all ages who are not working at their potential. These include individuals with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Aspergers Syndrome, Work or School-related Anxiety, Gifted Learning Challenges, or Unconventional Learning Styles. Thirty years in public education has provided me with the experience to teach strategies to the student, and to recommend individualized accommodations and modifications to parents and educators.
