With over a decade of counseling children and adolescents in Metro Nashville Public Schools, I have a unique and expansive experience working with children, adolescents, and their families as they find togetherness, and themselves.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in treating children and adolescents. I have been working with children for over 20 years and truly enjoy seeing children move from timid and anxious to confident and self assured. I can help kids deal with divorce, death, abuse, anxiety and many other issues that affect children and adolescents. I will help them to be better at dealing with life as it comes to them and to be more assured when things get hard. I am a Consultant with EMDR which is trauma therapy. I also see adults for EMDR as well with children and adolescents.

I provide individualized support tailored to my clients' unique stories. I use expressive arts therapy and dance/movement therapy techniques in addition to client-centered talk therapy to engage with clients as we process in both the verbal and non-verbal realms. The body and mind are interconnected and the body can be used as a map guiding explorations of the self, as well as a metaphor to express emotions which can be difficult to convey in words alone. Through a therapeutic relationship, I provide empathic support and playful intervention.

Hello everyone! Thanks for taking time to read my profile. I help disconnected couples, restless entrepreneurs, and individuals stifled by anxiety and depression. When I entered this profession, I realized that everyone on the planet needs a safe place to go where they can be completely themselves...and say anything they care to say. At times we need to chat with someone who's not part of our family or friend circles, someone with the training and skills to navigate confusing thoughts, emotions, relationships, careers, and matters of faith.

Seeking help is a courageous step in many of our lives and I am honored to be given the opportunity to share in the journey of healing with my clients. I work with individuals, couples, and families to provide counseling on a wide variety of life issues. I have experience helping clients work through depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, grief, divorce, marital issues, job satisfaction, and family conflict.

I believe that some of the most sustainable human growth occurs via relationship. This is why I believe in the power of Psychotherapy: it can be a unique opportunity for healing, a process in which -- through genuine connection and honest feedback, we can begin to make sense of the way we have come to view ourselves, our relationships, our sense of spirituality and interconnection, and the world around us. I love working with clients that are dealing with challenges, and assist them in gaining the tools they need to increase their ability to live a sustainable life. Growing up in an area filled with poverty, I developed a personal understanding of what it’s like to go without due to lack of basic needs. As a Black woman, I have also seen a lot of racial injustice as well as the impact of unaddressed mental health challenges due to limited resources and access to care. As a result of my lived experiences, I refuse to remain silent and I have a desire to support those who are normally looked over and forgotten about.

The clients that have had the most success in my counseling and coaching have three traits: 1) Life is not going how they wish it would. 2) They are tired of that feeling. 3) They are motivated to change their life to begin the journey towards their dreams. Finding a therapist can be challenging, and I consider it an honor to sit with people as they share themselves and their lives. My specialty is working with people experiencing infertility and other perinatal and postnatal issues. The process of becoming pregnant, having a baby, and adjusting to parenthood is not always an easy one and often filled with difficulty and heartbreak. People can experience a roller coaster of emotions including sadness, anger, shame, anxiety, etc. My hope is to help people gain understanding and peace no matter where they are in their reproductive story.
