My name is Christian, and welcome to my practice. Parakaleo is a Koine Greek word that means “to call alongside.” It was a way to describe a counselor – one who walks alongside you to encourage, strength, and comfort. In a digital age when everyone is becoming more connected but alone at the same time, it is hard to discern the competing voices inside your mind and heart. I hope to walk alongside you during this season to help you find that voice inside that you need hear, and unlock its resonance – in your challenges, passions, and relationships.
As an ordained pastor in ministry and a psychotherapist in psychiatric & medical settings since 2010, I have used the experience of both to bring an added dimension into the other. Depending on you, I borrow from an assortment of therapeutic frameworks (CBT, DBT, ACT, MCT) with the goal of moving forward without me.
My experience as a chaplain helps me integrate your language of hope, and my work as an oncology social worker at a major hospital cancer center provides a safe space to navigate through your most difficult transitions. I look forward to walking alongside you.
