Often times children, adolescents and their family members may not know what they want or need. As an experienced therapist, I work collaboratively to help understand how thoughts, feelings and actions are connected. As a child therapist, understanding that play therapy, expressive art and talking are all important ways to engage and build trust. Child centered play therapy provides a contained way for clients to express their experiences and feelings through an imaginative self. Each client's need differ so an individualized approach with attainable goals is necessary.
