I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in treating anxiety, depression, anger, and behavioral issues in both youth and adults. With 9 years of experience working with at-risk adolescents and adults with severe mental illness in a behavioral health setting, I also bring 2 years of experience from working with individuals and couples in private practice. My passion lies in collaborating with clients to address their anxiety, depression, and anger, and I've found that behavioral issues often stem from underlying concerns that we can work through together.
I completed my bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Jacksonville State University, followed by a Master of Science (MS) in Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. I also hold a post-graduate degree in Play Therapy from Capella University and have 6 years of experience in Child Development.
My main goal is to provide you with support and encouragement. I believe that a compassionate ear is a powerful tool for healing. My approach to counseling is integrative, drawing from person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and reality therapy techniques.
