I am best suited for individuals or couples who recognize a pattern of self-defeating behaviors that destroy relationships and contribute to anxiety/depression. These individuals feel stuck in a seemingly never-ending cycle that may include: procrastination, busyness that leads nowhere, the exhaustion of perfectionism, feelings of rejection, loneliness, or depletion in general--all of which gets worse without intervention. Wishing that distracting issues and concerns would just go away is unproductive. My job is to make psychology applicable to everyday problem-solving and decision-making and therefore give you a reason to hope for a new reality.

I strive to make psychology user-friendly, practical, and even fun. I specialize in integrating my clinical skills/knowledge with a biblical worldview for those who desire such although I gladly work with clients of all faiths. Clients include male/ female adults in addition to married and pre-marital couples.

My office is comfortable and feels more like a living room. My first concern is helping clients feel at ease with the process and motivated to collaborate with me. The treatment plan, developed by the 3rd session, becomes the road map used to measure specific goal achievement.

Pamela Everett Thompson's Groups

9 Things You Simply Must Do

Women's Group that relies heavily on the brilliant work of Dr. Henry Cloud in his book, Nine Things You Simply Must Do to Succeed in Life and Love. It's a 12- week structured curriculum, accommodating no more than 10 members. After the 12 weeks, most members have decided to continue in some capacity (once or twice a month indefinitely) because the support system developed from the experience has been so rich. It's the most effective thing I've facilitated in helping women to gain practical knowledge that informs wise decision-making and problem-solving in professional, personal, and romantic spheres.

Conscious Living After Divorce

Are you reeling from a divorce (recent or remote) that left you at a loss for: what to do with your time and energy, rebuilding your life, re-entering the dating jungle with the right preparation, establishing new friends and trusting again, forgiving your former spouse or yourself? If so, you won't be alone in my new support group, "Conscious Living After Divorce." It offers 12 weeks of practical guidance and support for wading through the muddy waters of life after divorce and getting to know yourself as never before. Though structured, there's significant allowance for spontaneous interaction.
