Hello, my name is Pamela Codes. I am a licensed professional counselor and a certified addiction counselor. I have a person-centered approach to therapy and I believe in building trust and safety in the therapeutic alliance. My focus is on mental health, trauma, depression and addictions. I have also served people who identify as LGBTQ and who are struggling with cultural identity.
I have been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma, and recovery, and I also practice somatic therapy approaches. I have worked with clients who have substance use disorders, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and borderline personality disorders.
I strive to set an environment of safety. I want the Client to feel safe enough to share and explore things that are causing them distress. I work to make sure all sessions are professional and ethical, and I work to make a therapeutic connection with my clients.
