My therapeutic style is integrative with an IFS (Internal Family Systems) lens. I am very interactive, and I am transparent and will let clients know what I am thinking. I want my clients to let me know if that is off the mark for them, as I trust the client knows their inner system best and that is a resource for our work. I provide a compassionate presence as clients explore the issues they struggle with. I help clients to gain a better perspective around their current life struggles, their own role in those struggles, and their ability to access more inner support, clarity and peace.
My areas of specialty are around trauma, and Bipolar Spectrum Disorder. IFS is empirically validated, and is powerful for working with trauma. I have my level one training completed in IFS, and I am working towards certification. I also did an in-depth training group with Dr. Jim Phelps, an expert in Bipolar Spectrum Disorder.
I look for clients that are a good fit. To this end, I speak to each potential client for 15 to 20 minutes on the phone to try to assess fit, and answer any questions or concerns.
