I work with individuals navigating grief, relationships, and major life transitions, with a particular interest in how trauma shapes coping, including self-critical stories and patterns of avoidance. Whether you are feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed, therapy can help you understand what is driving those patterns and develop a more compassionate relationship with your own inner life. I also work with couples, helping partners turn toward each other rather than away, building connection through curiosity rather than criticism.
I believe childhood experiences and cultural narratives shape how we relate to ourselves and the world, convincing us of stories about who we are that are not true. These experiences do not define us. Together we can use moments of pain as doorways rather than dead ends, building the capacity to meet discomfort without being overtaken by it.
My path to this work came first through books, then through the world itself: teaching abroad, planting trees, sitting with survivors of trauma. Those years taught me that healing begins when someone's story is witnessed with compassion and presence. I bring all of it into the room: the hard-won belief that people can change.
