About
In our sessions you will feel heard, understood, and safe. All paths to healing are unique- therefore my approach to therapy is fluid and therapy goals are made collaboratively. I utilize a strength-based approach- You are the expert of your own life. My overall approach helps you feel empowered, confident, and increases fulfillment and leads to a greater purpose in your life. I have years of experience treating depression, anxiety, relationship/family issues, and self-esteem.
I am especially passionate about substance use disorders, those that are questioning their relationship with alcohol, becoming "sober curious", and/or loved ones that have been impacted by addiction in their families/friends. I am well versed in a variety of approaches including, the 12 step model, SMART Recovery, and celebrate recovery.
At Head First, it is our mission to empower you to have a better relationship with yourself in order to optimize your potential and live a meaningful life. We do this by: believing in a holistic way of healing, honoring the brain-body connection, and specializing in evidence based, short term therapies such as CBT, ACT, DBT, ERP and Mindfulness.
