About
The demands on young adults to succeed academically, professionally and socially create strain on various life transitions - those from college to the professional world, as well as throughout your academic career. These strains can often lead to feelings of anxiety and depression. I understand these transitions and the skills required to navigate the stress involved. The therapeutic relationship is a partnership and through the use of a strengths based and solution focused perspective, I hope to support you in identifying those patterns in your life that may be creating a barrier to smooth transitions.
In addition to helping you build positive problem solving and coping skills, I will take a systems approach and incorporate CBT into each session as I firmly believe that learning to manage your thoughts is the first step in changing your behaviors. Each individual is different and we will work together toward creating a plan that fits best for you.
Therapy is not meant to be easy, but rather challenge you to reflect on your needs. My goal is for you to learn the skills you need to move forward toward the best version of yourself. I am currently only offering teletherapy sessions, please don't hesitate to reach out to see if we may be a good fit!
