Do you think that what you're holding onto is too much to look at, too big, too confusing, too heavy, too dark? By nature I have always felt comfortable with the heavy and seemingly unmentionable facets of our life journeys. I have many years of experience in forensic settings working with folks who have shame for harming others. I also have experience working with depression, anxiety, relational issues, self esteem struggles, and social equity concerns. I warmly meet my clients where they are at, accepting them wholly as they are.
My specialties lie in fostering creative, person-centered healing. Explaining our experiences through words can be challenging and I am trained in offering art and creative processing techniques to guide the conversations. I am also attuned to social and cultural justice approaches, prioritizing values of equity and diversity.
Therapy can be intimidating, or seemingly a waste of time especially if you have a supportive group in your life. What I love about being a therapist is that I get to play a unbiased, objective party, meeting you as you are in this very moment.
