When working with clients, I take a trauma informed approach to treatment, being mindful of an individual's past experiences, as well as their social, psychological, and physical needs. I create a safe, honest, and non-judgmental space where clients can learn what they need and unlearn what's not working for them. I work with folks who've had traumatic experiences/invalidation, leaving them emotionally impacted and limited in some capacities. I work with clients to create a deeper understanding, supporting their current experiences while also challenging deeply rooted & maladaptive core beliefs that they may be holding on to.
I've worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient, residential, PHP/IOP and private practice, treating an array of symptoms related to eating disorders, traumatic experiences, depression, anxiety, and executive functioning. I practice within a HAES, anti-diet framework, and aim to promote accessibility, especially within black and brown communities.
My approach is trauma-informed and client-centered, designed to foster a space for transparency, cognitive flexibility and self-empowerment. I believe that every individual has a story - through laughter, creativity, empathy, honesty and evidenced based care, we will explore, unravel and learn together. I am here to support you through your journey.
