She has 20 years of professional experience and specializes in helping married and engaged couples heal and deepen their relationship. All of her services are offered virtually (no in-office appointments). It is her desire to provide Christian counseling for those throughout Texas, Hawaii and Florida that are seeking transformation in their lives and relationships. I have 7 years in the mental health field, providing medication management for a diverse range of mental health conditions. I am currently working on my professional counseling internship under the supervision of Mr. Duane Snape. My mission is to provide empathetic counseling services based on effective evidence-based practices along with a compassionate holistic human approach. My vision is to form a professional therapeutic relationship with every individual and is paramount for the counseling process to work. My therapeutic approach is one of change talk and drawing out the resources and strengths of each client.

I have been in the field for over 15 years and have worked with an array of populations. My experience is in the areas of trauma, PTSD, ADHD, adolescents (at-risk youth), relationship issues, divorce, and law enforcement issues. In addition, I have experience working with veterans to provide a second opinion and/or assessment in support of their VA Disability claims.

I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Art Therapy from Whitecliffe College in Auckland, New Zealand in 2015 following my Bachelor’s education at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. My clinical experience began in 2012 as a student therapist working with youth on the Autism Spectrum. This work soon developed into working with individuals, couples, families, and groups of all ages facing a wide variety of challenges across public and private healthcare settings.

I provide individual and couples therapy to older adolescents and adults. My approach to therapy mainly draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have additional training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). While I tend to draw from CBT, I incorporate other styles and techniques to tailor each session to meet the needs of each person I work with. I believe the most important and healing aspect of therapy is the relationship that is created between myself and the person sitting across from me.
