I currently have a waitlist but am happy to place you on it if desired. I work with people who desire to lead fulfilling lives but struggle to do so for a variety of reasons. My clients often find difficult to open up to others, or find themselves haunted by past events. They try to "brush off" challenging experiences to lesser and lesser degrees of success. individuals with trauma, complicated relationships with parents, sexual shame, or histories of sexual or physical abuse are common in my practice. We can strengthen your ability to tolerate painful emotions and uncomfortable previous experiences.

We all face struggles, trauma, hurt, betrayal, abuse, sickness, sadness, anxiety, and the various other emotions of life’s journey, but if we have hope, we as individuals can triumph. One of my core beliefs is that we are each created as unique individuals, and my role is to partner and journey with my clients as they search for meaning, healing, and, most of all, hope. We are all human, imperfect, and want/need grace. Mental health is a part of our overall health, not separate from it. We cannot disconnect the head from the body. All session are conducted with empathy and compassion, with or without equines. We are currently accepting new clients, as our caseload allows. We accept Medicaid, TriWest, TRICARE, and Aetna insurances, in addition to private pay with a deeply sliding scale. We can also do a single case agreement or supply a superbill for out of network insurance.

My goal is to provide a nonjudgmental and culturally sensitive safe space for youth, adolescents, and adults to feel seen, heard, and understood. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, treating children, adolescents, adults, and families. For children and adolescents, ages 8 and up, I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, school issues, divorce issues, peer relationships, behavioral problems, suicidal ideation, and anger management. I also specialize in parenting, family issues, adoption and attachment. For adults, I treat mood disorders, like depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, stress, anger management, divorce, and work related issues. I have extensive experience working with active military, retired military/veterans, and military dependents.

I specialize in helping individuals heal from past traumatic events that impact their present and am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting. Additionally, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in addition to talk therapy to help clients with a variety of mental health concerns in their healing journey. For couples and families, I practice Emotionally Focused Therapy, DBT and Relational Life Therapy (RLT) approaches.
