My goal is to help you build a better understanding of the pain, distress or fear that holds you back from achieving the life you want so you can begin to make room for more joy and a meaningful existence.

Your feelings are worthy of acknowledgment and often it feels like those around you couldn't possibly understand. When our external self does such an excellent job of masking how we feel inside, it's difficult to know where to start.

You are there for everyone. Whenever. Wherever. You spend so much time being there for others that there’s no room for yourself. And let’s be honest, you’d rather not think about that. Giving the outside world what it needs is easy. Giving that to yourself is hard. It’s painful. You feel so awkward and uncertain of who you are in the world. You’re drowning in the muck inside you with no way of knowing how to get out.

I specialize in bicultural relationships and bicultural identity. I work from an attachment perspective and draw from my extensive professional training and experience in evidence-based therapy. I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, narrative and Psychodynamic theory.
