As a queer, immigrant clinician and an east coast transplant to California, I understand what it's like to be a newcomer, an outsider, and someone struggling "between worlds." I enjoy working with people who have an experience of not quite fitting in, not quite finding their ground, or belonging - and with seekers and questioners of all kinds interested in getting in touch with their values, owning their authenticity, and healing attachment in relationships. I do this through exploring the stories we tell ourselves, identifying how they shape our sense of power, selfhood, and connection to the world.
As a therapist, I like to work narratively and relationally, which means I like to work together with clients to support them in rewriting their stories and exploring their patterns in relationships - to both self and others - with playfulness and curiosity, while rooting in dignity and honoring trauma's pace.
Having worked extensively with immigrant and refugee clients, LGBTQ+ clients, and with clients who identify as neurodivergent, I also recognize the way systems like courts, schools and hospitals can impact our agency and self-worth. As a therapist, I strongly believe in making room for dignity, resilience, and play, especially in the face of adversity.
