You’re feeling burnt out; it’s hard to shut your brain off. You’re exhausted trying to be everything for everyone. Feeling guilty, stressed, overwhelmed…it feels like there aren’t enough hours in a day to actually take care of "you."

Life's challenges can leave us feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, and stressed. Each stage of life presents a challenge, whether in parenting, work, or relationships. These moments invite us to learn and grow, and I believe there is joy to be found in each when we remain curious and open to all possibilities. Life is not one final destination, but rather one with many beautiful destinations to be seen. You, as the client, are the expert on your own life, and as the therapist I have the education, training, and expertise to help you tell your story, ease your pain, and get what you want out of life.

I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT) to help clients face their fears, reduce compulsions, and build a more flexible, values-driven life.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with several years of specialized experience treating OCD and anxiety spectrum disorders, I understand what it's like to feel "stuck" in cycles of anxiety, endless worry, and constant "what if" thought loops. Maybe you're struggling with intrusive thoughts, persistent self-doubt, and compulsive behaviors that leave you feeling controlled by anxiety and you just want to feel like yourself again. More than anything, you want relief, clarity, and practical tools that work. You’re ready to stop merely coping and start reclaiming your life with purpose and self-trust.

Together we loosen the thoughts that feed the worry (CBT), face what you've been avoiding in small, doable steps until it loses its charge (exposure), and let anxious feelings come and go without running your choices ( ACT).
The worry doesn't clock out when you do. You lie down and your mind starts its night shift: replaying the conversation, rehearsing tomorrow, scanning for the thing you forgot. Maybe it's a racing heart in the checkout line, a flight you won't book, a call you keep not making. You're good at looking fine, so most people have no idea. But you're tired. Tired of the effort it takes to hold it together, tired of talking yourself down from things that shouldn't feel this hard. You've tried to think your way out, and the worry just rearranges the furniture. You don't have to white-knuckle this forever.

Hi, I'm really glad you're here. Thinking of starting therapy can feel really intimidating, especially if you're used to handling things on your own or talking yourself out of needing support. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, self-aware, and highly capable in a lot of areas of life, but internally struggle with anxiety, depression, self-doubt, relationship stress, overthinking, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. I hope to help you reconnect with parts of yourself, your personal goals, and what's most important to you.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
