EMDR therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Creative Arts Expression, and a mix of styles of DBT & ACT
Hi, I’m Lexi! I take a creative, engaging, and client-centered approach to therapy, with the goal of creating a space that feels both supportive and empowering. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating trauma, PTSD, major life stage transitions, and career-related changes or uncertainty. As an EMDRIA-trained EMDR therapist, I work with individuals who feel stuck or overwhelmed by past experiences and patterns that no longer serve them. Together, we gently reprocess and “rewire” these experiences so they feel less activating, allowing you to move forward with greater clarity, resilience & peace.

I believe that you are the expert in your own life. In therapy, your part is to be honest with yourself, open to new ideas, and willing to make changes. My only job is to guide and support you on your journey of self-discovery.

Using DBT, CBT, ACT, and IFS within a person-centered, trauma-informed framework, our work will be holistic, collaborative, & grounded in what feels safe and meaningful to you.
You might look like you’re holding it together on the outside — but inside, you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or at war with your own mind and body. Maybe food, body image, or exercise has quietly taken up more space in your life than you’d like. Maybe anxiety runs in the background all day — overthinking conversations, replaying mistakes, feeling “too much” or somehow not enough. Maybe trauma or the past shows up in ways you can’t fully explain. Or maybe you’ve always felt a little different — neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, or simply not fitting into the boxes the world expects.

There are times when we become aware that our mental health isn't where it needs to be. Life happens to us, and it becomes hard to feel that we have what it takes to manage or deal with it all. Unmanaged symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and ADHD are just a few that can make you feel as though you are stuck in an unwanted place in your life. Some people feel too strong to ask for help, while others can't help but to hide and isolate in efforts to escape. No matter where you are in your journey, it is important to know that you have options to get from where you are to where you want to be.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
