I have trained in Somatics, Narrative Therapy, IFS, EMDR, Body Trust, and Brainspotting.
Much of my practice centers on supporting people navigating rupture (with individuals and religious/political institutions), life/gender/body transitions and journeys, trauma, anxiety, grief, and depression. As a systems thinker, I support clients in situating and understanding their distress within the social, political, and relational conditions that shape our lives. I work especially well with justice-minded people seeking a space where grief and joy are given permission to coexist. I aim to create a container where clients can clarify what matters to them and move toward more embodied and relational ways of being.

Hey there, I'm Chris. You've built a successful life and you're exhausted. You say yes when you mean no, second-guess everything, and spend more energy managing everyone else's feelings instead of your own. You're not broken — you're burned out. There's a difference. I work with high-achieving adults who are done pretending they're fine.

Every day, I sit with women just like you. Women who are struggling. Women who are trying to cope with intense grief over a devastating pregnancy loss. Women reeling from heartbreaking news about a fetal abnormality. Women coming to terms with traumatic pregnancy and birth experiences. Women navigating the uncertainty of infertility or the anxiety of pregnancy after a previous loss experience. Women who are managing difficult relationships or trying to cope with overwhelming life transitions.

My approach blends evidence-based methods like EMDR and Brainspotting with the depth and expression of art therapy so you can release the past and reconnect with who you truly are.
Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. Some clients process through images or movement; others need structure and insight. Together let's find the pace and style that fit you best—whether through calm, focused EMDR processing or creative exploration that gives voice to what words can’t reach. EMDR and BSP are both available through secure virtual sessions.

I utilize Brainspotting, EMDR and Narrative talk therapy to ease self-criticism and promote healing.
We’re adapting to so much overwhelm. I help clients develop healthy self-compassion as they balance responsibilities and relationships with the cumulative stress of unresolved traumas and/or the current economic, political, and environmental crises. When we explore patterns in our boundaries, families, and relationships, we can reveal deeper truths and unmet needs, and are empowered to make changes that promote safety and get unstuck. It is important that you feel heard by a professional who supports you. Third Culture Kids, nomads, fish out of water, creatives, and micro-minorities welcome. We will create context.

With formal training in EMDR, Brainspotting, and DBT, I have a focus in trauma, anxiety, depression, and inter-personal relationships.
Telehealth Counseling and Coaching throughout the US. While working with people, I help them work through the process of engagement, healing, and growth. My initial approach is to see the greatness of a person. I work with people to help them see their own greatness noting that their behaviors do not define them. The behavior is unhealthy, not the person. Who a person is at the core is always great, healthy, and beautiful. As we pull apart maladaptive behaviors from the individual, I help people become actively engaged in their own therapeutic process beginning a journey of healing and growth.

It's hard navigating what’s happening in the world. You want the best possible education and experiences for your child, and that could mean putting them in situations that expose them to racism and classism early on. Being the only or one of few is hard! The reality is that this can be confusing for your child and they often lack the tools to handle these situations. The impact on their day to day images of themselves is massive. Their once bright eyes are a little dimmer. Their trust in peers and adults lessens. Your once confident child or teen is now self-conscious, anxious, and struggles to meet unfair standards.

Brainspotting Therapists
How does brainspotting work?
Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?
Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?
Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?
A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
