I am a Certified Mindfulness-Informed Professional, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and a Brainspotting Practitioner.
If you feel anxious in relationships, disconnected from your truest self, struggle with people-pleasing, or carry self-doubt - You’re not alone. Many of us notice patterns that leave us feeling stuck: giving too much, fearing rejection, or feeling like our emotions are “too much.” Strong reactions in your body or heightened sensitivity can make these patterns feel overwhelming, leaving you disconnected from yourself. I work with women navigating anxious attachment, codependency, relationship anxiety, and self-esteem challenges. We'll explore how these patterns show up in your body, your emotions, and your relationships.

Since training in the bilateral therapies (EMDR, A.R.T., and Brainspotting) I've witnessed healing on a whole new level.
This is my experience, and the reason why I specialize in these deeper, more sub conscious therapies. In addition, there are times when people prefer to talk, gaining much needed insight (light bulb moments) and releasing thoughts they don't feel comfortable sharing with others.

I've also had my clients enjoy adding Brainspotting to their sessions!
Welcome, if you're here because everything feels overwhelming right now, and you find yourself unable to turn your thoughts off or shutting down often, then together we can work on making your thoughts and emotions feel more manageable. Maybe, right now grief, anxiety, or depression are really loud, and we need to work together to make them feel less intimidating. We can also work on communication skills, relationship patterns, setting boundaries (knowing when to say no or when to push yourself), and helping you recover from and managing burn-out so that you don't feel trapped to keep pouring from an empty cup.

As a trauma therapist, I support women-identifying folks and children navigating the lasting effects of trauma. I understand how deeply our sense of self and relationships are shaped by the messages and systems around us, especially for those living with complex trauma, dissociation, body dissatisfaction and the exhaustion of existing in spaces that have minimized, misunderstood, or distorted who they are. Together, we can gently explore patterns shaped by survival, recognize & build on adaptive emotional and behavioral responses, & cultivate a sense of self-worth that feels grounded, authentic, and sustainable in your daily life.

My approach is personalized to your needs, drawing from EMDR, Brainspotting, and IFS, as well as CBT, DBT, and ACT.
Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns that affect how we think, feel, and connect with others, and it can be hard to change them even when we understand them logically. These can include overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, need for control, or insecurity in relationships. They often begin in earlier experiences, including trauma & complex trauma, and feel automatic in the present. I work in a warm, collaborative way to help you slow these patterns, understand what drives them, & shift how they show up in daily life & relationships. I work with relationships and have training in Gottman Method Couple Therapy

You have noticed for a while that when you are around other people you take things personally, you don’t feel confident, you second guess yourself or find yourself replaying different situations you’ve been in over and over again. You aren’t “anti-social”, in fact you really want to BE social, but every time an opportunity comes up for you to do something you either need someone else to go with you or you talk yourself out of going. It has been a long time since you have been on a date or had what felt like a healthy relationship. You are starting to think that you will never find someone.

Brainspotting Therapists
How does brainspotting work?
Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?
Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?
Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?
A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
