I enjoy helping clients work towards being the best version of themselves, whether that is by achieving their goals or simply working through the difficult aspects of life.
As a therapist, the most important aspect of therapy is working together to create goals for therapy and create a path for meaningful change. My approach is practical, I work from a cognitive perspective using cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical therapy, exposure response prevention, and positive psychology.

Tap into the power that is produced when faith is mixed with action, and then watch what God does in your life.
Hello! I'm Ophelia and I am excited you found my page. How do you respond to challenges, Stressors and failures? Challenges and Failures doesn’t mean nothing has been accomplished; there is always the opportunity to learn something. Always remember that God isn’t surprised by our stumbles. His love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness are bigger than any mess we make. God never sees any of us as failures; He only sees us as learners. We fail only when we don’t learn from each experience. The decision is up to us—we can choose to turn a failure into a hitching post or into a guidepost in our lives.

Rather than focusing on shame, pathology, or hierarchy, I help you understand how your nervous systems has intelligently adapted to life experiences and stress.
As a licensed mental health therapist, my approach bridges spirituality, psychology, mindfulness, and neuroscience in a compassionate, trauma-informed, and non-hierarchical way. I believe healing does not come from becoming “more evolved” than your humanity, but from learning how to meet your inner experience with awareness, self-compassion, and nervous system safety. My work integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches with mindfulness, somatic awareness, attachment theory, parts work, and contemplative practices to support you in developing deeper self-understanding and emotional resilience.

I also think life is hard and most people are just trying to do their best.
People are people. I have worked with different groups of people for over 20 years and have come to realize that most people want the same things. They want to feel safe. They want to be happy. And they want the people they care about to be safe and happy too. The question is why so many people struggle to actually achieve this? I think for most people the answer is that they 1. aren't sure about what they want and how to get it and/or 2. they have thinking errors that get in the way of them making the progress they would like.

Navigating life's existential questions can be hard.
I'm a certified philosophical counselor, or CPC. Like a life coach, but without the BS. My training lets me help you ask key questions and shed problematic assumptions. As a somatic, relational Gestalt practitioner/trainer, EMDR Consultant, Energy Psychology practitioner, spiritual guide, meditation teacher, and hypnotherapist, I offer an embodied and integrated approach to therapeutic coaching, consultation, and teaching.
I care deeply about my clients' histories and journeys as well as the Reality that is greater than our thoughts or stories. This is where Einstein comes in: "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." In the process of transformation we undergo an 'unlearning', we become more embodied, and our consciousness shifts.

I can help you ask and answer questions about yourself, your relationships, your place in the world, the nature and meaning of life, rational decision-making, effective and non-violent communication, deep introspection, personal improvement, agency empowerment, the nature of science and its relation to politics, religions, lifestyle, etc
Philosophy Therapy is a revolutionary new way to improve. Since ancient times, the discipline of philosophy (practiced by the likes of Socrates, Hume, and Khayyam) has been used not just to advance science and politics, but also to heal the human soul. In Philosophy Therapy, we employ hard-earned conceptual distinctions made by philosophical geniuses over the millennia to solve our personal problems and get a better perspective on our own lives. I will walk you through your everyday concerns, mental health issues, and relationship problems, and help you ask and answer many perplexing questions that may be causing you suffering.

My goal as your counselor is to help increase self-awareness of your thoughts, actions, and reactions, helping you to become the agent of change in your own life.
I believe counseling is an organic process that will never look exactly the same from one person to the next. I have over 15 years experience in the field, and spent most of my career as a school counselor. I believe health, wellness, and exercise are essential aspects of positive mental and physical well-being.

Life Coaching Therapists
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
