Are you ready to make venting productive? Don’t get me wrong. I fully support a good, unfiltered brain-dump filled with all the expletives imaginable. There’s definitely a place for that, but therapy isn’t just about putting your dumpster fire on a weekly subscription plan. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and Exposure and Response Prevention ( ERP) to help you break anxiety cycles, reduce compulsive patterns, and build lasting confidence.
You look like you have it together. You’re responsible. Driven. Capable. The one people rely on. But internally? Your mind doesn’t shut off. You replay conversations. You overanalyze decisions. You hold yourself to impossible standards. And no matter how much you accomplish, it never feels like enough. If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place. I specialize in working with anxious overthinkers, perfectionists, and people-pleasers who feel stuck in their own heads. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, OCD, intrusive thoughts, or burnout, especially high-achieving teens and adults who appear “fine” on the outside.

You aren’t feeling like yourself. Maybe anxiety or recent life changes feel overwhelming, or self-worth has been a long-standing struggle. Perhaps you’re feeling “blah,” finding it hard to feel joy or meaning, or stuck in thought patterns that leave you drained and exhausted. Old wounds may still be showing up in ways that are hard to understand. It’s completely normal to feel unsure about where to begin the healing process. You’re not just looking to get through the day, you want to heal, understand yourself more deeply, and learn how to quiet the mental noise so you can build a life that feels meaningful. I’m here to help.

We are wired for growth, for healing, and for connection. All of us have an in-built, innate capacity to weather changes, recover from/with pain and loss, and find balance and meaning in our worlds amidst difficulty and change. And still, we can encounter real barriers to living in connection with our strengths. Sometimes habitual thoughts, painful emotions, ineffective patterns of behavior, or stressors, losses and traumas that we meet without the support or stability needed to move through - such challenges can leave us depleted and distrustful of our own capacity for well-being and connection.

Change can come in many forms in our lives. It might come suddenly like a tidal wave, or gradually like a slow dripping leak. It might come in the form of devastating tragedy, difficult choices, broken relationships, or even new opportunities. Although change can be extremely hard, it can also be extremely necessary. Experiencing anything great in life requires us to challenge ourselves to push past our comfort zones. However, we oftentimes avoid change out of fear of the unknown, or self-doubt. Other times, we don’t realize the need for change until we experience pain.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.

Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.

How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.

What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
