I treat clients age 5 and over, and specialize in treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, couples counseling, and custody concerns.
I start each session with understanding where you are in the present moment. From there, a typical session with me would involve a check-in, and diving in to concerns you have. I help you put a plan in place to help you move forward, and will celebrate your successes along the way. At the end of a session with me, it is my hope that you feel relief.

I'd love to guide you through life transitions, relationship stress, or long-standing patterns you are ready to break.
With fourteen years of clinical experience, I’ve learned that real change happens when insight meets action—and I love helping clients discover both. I bring a warm, down-to-earth approach to my work, balanced with evidence-based strategies that match the client. I'm creative in how I engage with clients, and I genuinely enjoy what I do. Watching people gain clarity, develop resilience, and move toward a more fulfilling life is what keeps me inspired every day. The counseling room is a healing space and I honor that along with the people who reach out to me. Let's not just manage life but live with confidence and purpose.

If your head is clouded; if your career, relationships, or health are stressful; if you can’t navigate options; if you feel stuck, unsure, or overwhelmed; if you can’t find relief… I will empower you.
Processing confusing or challenging events requires you to step back: when you pause and breathe, you can make choices from balance, with clarity. I will not make decisions for you, or impose advice; I’ll offer tools you need to mindfully operate, so you can make ALL choices (big and small) with confidence. I’ll bring you back to your baseline of JOY.

I understand that making the phone call to see a therapist can be a difficult task. I treat each person with care, compassion, and integrity. When I speak with you on the phone for the first time my main goal is to put you at ease and to empower you to continue to move forward giving you support when needed. Life offers so many challenges to us and sometimes we just need a little extra kindness and support from a therapist to move forward and live the life that we know was meant for us and our future.

Drawing from my own experiences within the healing nature of therapy, I utilize a holistic, integrative, person-centered approach and honors each client’s unique background and worldview to help them achieve their goals.

FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
