Taking this step towards therapy is an act of courage. My approach is to meet you exactly where you are and help uncover the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be holding you back from your most authentic self. I believe we have to feel it to heal it—meaning therapy with me is a process of moving through your emotions, not around them. As a trauma-informed therapist, I understand that the body often remembers what the mind tries to forget. I help reconnect your body, mind, and emotions so you can safely explore your most vulnerable self and embrace the parts you’ve silenced, finding balance, freedom, and self-acceptance.

Are you someone who feels overwhelmed, worn down, or uncertain about the next step forward yet still holds a desire for healing and hope? You may be navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, chronic illness, disability, or the emotional weight of caring for others. You may feel stuck between who you are and who you feel called to be. Many of my clients value faith or are open to exploring how their Christian beliefs connect with their emotional well-being. You may be seeking a therapist who respects your values and can integrate faith into counseling in a thoughtful, supportive, and ethical way, without pressure or judgment.

I enjoy the "tweeners" and adolescents of all ages.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in grief, or struggling in your relationships? Maybe you're carrying the weight of past trauma, navigating codependency, or trying to manage intense emotions. You don’t have to go through this alone. In my practice, you’ll find a safe, supportive space to heal and grow. Together, we’ll uncover your strengths, build healthier patterns, and restore balance in your life. Using compassionate, evidence-based approaches like CBT, EFT, mindfulness, and other approaches, we’ll work toward the peace and clarity you desire. Reaching out is the first step.

I excel at helping those with mood or anxiety disorders learn more effective behaviors. I find I work well with people who are open to learning a variety of skills to make change more of a reality in their life, whether this change is handling stress better, working to improve relationships, being more 'present' in life, or just being able to get out of bed and make it through the day. We're all human, and everyone deserves the support to build their life worth living. It is my joy to help others in that building process.

I have over 8 years of experience helping elderly populations, hospice care, adults, teens and families.
Hi, I’m Kristin! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania with a background in outpatient mental health and community-based work. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree of psychology, then went on to obtain a Master’s degree of social work and appropriate licensure. I work primarily with adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck or burned out- especially those who are used to being the “strong one” for everyone else. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, or the quiet exhaustion that comes from constantly holding it together. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to work together.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
