Therapy isn’t about racing to a finish line, it’s about the journey we take together. In our work, we’ll explore the parts of your identity that feel most meaningful, look at how your relationships shape your world, and create space for the challenges you’re navigating right now. You are the expert on your own life, and I’ll trust your inner wisdom every step of the way! You don’t need to know where to start. As the saying goes: “Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can.”

I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT) to help clients face their fears, reduce compulsions, and build a more flexible, values-driven life.
Accepting new clients. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with several years of specialized experience treating OCD and anxiety spectrum disorders, I understand what it's like to feel "stuck" in cycles of anxiety, endless worry, and constant "what if" thought loops. Maybe you're struggling with intrusive thoughts, persistent self-doubt, and compulsive behaviors that leave you feeling controlled by anxiety and you just want to feel like yourself again. More than anything, you want relief, clarity, and practical tools that work. You’re ready to stop merely coping and start reclaiming your life with purpose and self-trust.

Do you feel your life is lacking meaning and fulfillment? Are you feeling unmotivated and low energy, making it difficult to get what you want out of your life? Do you often feel anxious and distracted? These symptoms are common and natural to feel in the fast paced and productivity-driven world that we live in, but this does not have to be our reality. In gaining awareness into our internal narratives, behaviors, and thoughts we can learn how to challenge these unhealthy patterns of being by connecting to what it is that we value and find meaningful in our lives.

Treatment often involves exploring patterns, building emotional awareness, and developing practical tools using ACT, psychodynamic, and mindfulness approaches.
March 2026: accepting new clients. I help thoughtful, overwhelmed adults—especially men and high achievers—navigate anxiety, transitions, and identity questions with honesty, clarity, and zero therapy fluff. You might be dealing with anxiety, stress, burnout, or a major life change that’s stirred up uncertainty. Maybe you’re overthinking, feeling disconnected, or struggling with perfectionism, low self-esteem, or relationship concerns. If you’re new to therapy or skeptical it can help, you’re welcome here. Real change happens when you have honest conversations, practical tools, and space to figure out what actually works for you.

I specialize in treating OCD and co-occurring disorders using ERP, ACT, and person-centered care.
My ideal client is an adult navigating intrusive thoughts, anxiety, perfectionism, or mental rituals—often with a diagnosis like OCD or ADHD, or overlapping symptoms that haven’t been clearly named yet. They may feel stuck in thought loops, burnout, or identity stress, and want both clarity and practical tools. Many are also seeking affirming care that respects their lived experience, especially within the LGBTQ+ community. They're looking for relief that’s sustainable, support that’s personalized, and a way to feel more grounded, capable, and fully themselves.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
