Hello, prospective clients! Hello to the overthinking chaos wranglers, the emotionally overwhelmed can't-deciders, the worrywarts, Eeyores, and people-pleasers amongst us. You've probably found that you're usually doing too much, and sometimes too little. You can be stuck in overdrive, or neutral. If you're frustrated and bitter about it, I can help you find the balance of doing "good enough" and feeling good enough about it. I specialize in working with high achievers, perfectionists, deep thinkers - those who may find themselves trapped in a loop of analysis that leads to stress, anxiety, indecision.

I specialize in working with late teens (16+) and adults navigating the transition into independence, identity, and adulthood. This stage of life can feel overwhelming—whether you're managing anxiety, adjusting to college or post-grad life, struggling with relationships, or feeling stuck in uncertainty about your next steps. Many of my clients are high-functioning but internally overwhelmed—balancing expectations, pressure, and major life changes while trying to figure out who they are and what they want. I provide a supportive space to slow things down, build insight, and develop practical tools to aid you in your journey.

My practice is best suited for adults seeking a depth-oriented, personalized therapy experience beyond symptom management. Many are high-functioning professionals experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, or internal disconnection, while others are navigating complex relational or family dynamics. Clients often come ready for meaningful change and value insight, emotional depth, and a collaborative process. With a background in neuroscience, I integrate an understanding of the nervous system and relational patterns to support greater regulation, self-understanding, and lasting change.

Therapy with me pulls from a lot of directions: ACT, CBT, DBT, CPT, somatic work, Gottman, Narrative, and more.
On the surface, you do it all: you keep up with coursework, a demanding job, or a million people in your life who each need something different. But internally, you're exhausted: replaying conversations, second-guessing yourself, trying to do everything for everyone (but you). You hold yourself to a standard you'd never expect from anyone else. I work with college students, graduate students, and medical professionals dealing with anxiety, ADHD, burnout, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and trauma. If you're in a high-pressure environment where slowing down feels like falling behind... that's where I'm here to help.

Whether you’re trying to manage an increase in anxiety, work through past trauma, or figure out how to deal with life's curveballs, I am here to help. Maybe you're struggling with how to navigate school or work demands, perhaps questioning your identity and life's purpose, or wanting to find a way to be kinder to yourself. Life often has a way of holding us down, not allowing us to see clearly, and we end up being consumed by worries and doubts. This can alter our reality and we become lost to the whole picture. A picture that shows us a life full of potential, hope and kindness.

Before you can even grab your morning coffee, the intrusive thoughts have already shown up. The “What if…?” questions feel endless, pulling you into mental loops you never asked for. Compulsions start stacking up before the day even begins. You see other people living their lives with ease and connection, and you want that too. I hear you. And you deserve relief. I’m an OCD and anxiety specialist who works with teens and adults to break free from the cycle of doubt, fear, and compulsions - reassurance seeking, mental checking, rumination, avoidance, physical rituals, and everything in between.

Healing happens within relationship. That has been my personal experience and my primary focus in the counseling relationship. I strongly believe that we are all doing the best that we can at any given moment. However we are managing to cope, having a trusting and safe place to be is essential. My first task in any counseling relationship is to establish and build upon that safe place. As the counseling relationship builds and strengthens, we will collaboratively develop a plan for meeting your goals. I will work to gently guide you in growing and sustaining compassion and care for yourself during that process.

Together we loosen the thoughts that feed the worry (CBT), face what you've been avoiding in small, doable steps until it loses its charge (exposure), and let anxious feelings come and go without running your choices ( ACT).
The worry doesn't clock out when you do. You lie down and your mind starts its night shift: replaying the conversation, rehearsing tomorrow, scanning for the thing you forgot. Maybe it's a racing heart in the checkout line, a flight you won't book, a call you keep not making. You're good at looking fine, so most people have no idea. But you're tired. Tired of the effort it takes to hold it together, tired of talking yourself down from things that shouldn't feel this hard. You've tried to think your way out, and the worry just rearranges the furniture. You don't have to white-knuckle this forever.

Hey dads. Are you struggling to separate the pressure of your career from your role at home? Do you find yourself physically at the dinner table but mentally back on the clock or staring at a notification? Maybe you have already missed the winning goal or the school play, and the guilt is starting to weigh more than the job. You want to actually be there for your family, but right now, it feels like the drive to achieve will not let the father in you take the lead.

You may look like you’re holding things together while privately feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of what to do next. Perhaps you’re caught in overthinking, struggling in an important relationship, adjusting to a major transition, or reacting in ways you don’t fully understand. Therapy can help you make sense of what’s happening beneath these patterns and begin finding a way forward that feels more grounded, flexible, and aligned with what matters to you.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
