I work with adults and teens over the age of 14 on anxiety and depression, women's issues, relationship issues, family issues, trauma, LGBTQIA+ specific issues, and tackling many other goals.
Each client has their own specific needs and goals when entering therapy. Clients need to feel heard and validated, while also being challenged to really feel their emotions and examine their behaviors and beliefs. With me, clients learn how to create insight, understanding, and positive change through trust and collaboration. We will address thoughts and behaviors that aren't serving you or your overall goals for mental health, and then learn how to change those thoughts and behaviors to improve your quality of life.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with varying diagnoses as well as families in need of support.
Throughout my work and training, I feel I have relearned the meaning of therapy. I, like most, used to see therapy as only a solution to a problem. Something has to be wrong in order for one to seek therapy. While counselors are certainly here to help with symptoms and adversities, I encourage anyone seeking growth and perspective to consider therapy. We have all heard the phrase, “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it.” Why do we have to wait for something to be broken? Reach out for support now, wherever you are in your timeline, because you deserve it and that’s ok.

I developed a 'whole brain' creative arts therapy to help clients find the words and images that can express their thoughts and emotions. This enables clients to 'see' how their negative behaviors originally developed as a way to cope with high levels of interpersonal stress. The BrainsmART process empowers clients with strategies that organize their emotions as they discharge past traumas from their body and mind. Once emotions are 'seen' and 'named', clients can re-'view' the memories and beliefs and re-route their self-destructive behaviors. The process works creatively to redirect addictive urges into self-empowering action. Call me at 267.261.9987

I use my background, experiences, education and talents to work with teens and adults who are struggling to manage anxiety, stress, trauma, and changes in relationships.
I lean towards a biopsychosocial–spiritual model and agree that therapists can incorporate a holistic and spiritual side to treatment sessions in coordination with the client. I also borrow parts of the Existential and Humanistic theories, such as the idea of self-congruence (who the client believes he/she is and who he/she should be).

Change is something that we can always rely on. It will come into our lives whether welcomed or not. Being able to find inner balance and develop resiliency can help a person move through these changes. The start of this journey to establish inner balance, whether triggered due to illness, depression, anxiety, stress, or something else, can begin with outreach for support. I am drawn to the human spirit and I love working with individuals to fulfill their ultimate potential. I work to create a safe environment that allows for exploration and vulnerability, the emergence of awareness, strength, and resiliency.

I am experienced working with adults and teens impacted by depression, anxiety, relationship stresses, ACEs substance use, mental health, co-occurring disorders, grief and loss, self esteem enhancement, relationship growth and varying life circumstances.
It's 2025, and the traditional methods like AA, NA, and the twelve steps are not the only paths to recovery. In today’s modern world, don't we owe it to ourselves to consider fresh, dynamic approaches to solve problems that evolved from a 1939 ideology? Over the last five years, I've dedicated myself to helping men, and women, powerful men and women– business owners, entrepreneurs, and executives like you regain control of their lives immediately. These women and men have reclaimed power over their lives, mending relationships, improving their health, and overcoming the barriers, and stigmas.

Teen Therapists

What does therapy for teenagers look like?

When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?

There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?

You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
