Many of my clients have come to me after life has shaken them up like a snow-globe, leaving them disoriented & foggy. They feel leery of another shake-up, bracing for what’s around the corner. While their events are unique, they have this in common: they are ready to access self trust, find joy, and keep their heart open in a world where it would be very easy to close off. In my 15+ years of experience as a therapist, I am deeply passionate about the healing that's possible and the future that's available to each of my clients.

I have a variety of therapeutic experience in regard to treatment modalities and diagnoses, but I find I am most useful to clients seeking help with complex trauma, attachment wounds, sex/porn addiction, and self-esteem concerns.
Being in therapy with me is like being in a book club. That's a little exaggerated, but I do like to recommend reading material and other media sources to supplement the work we do in session. As a therapist, I'm curious and analytical. I like to think of treatment as a puzzle we're solving together. Choosing the right therapist for you, someone who fits with your personality and understands where you're coming from, will support a positive therapy experience. I am someone who likes to employ whimsy and humor, when appropriate, to help clients feel at ease.

Hello! I love to work with clients that are interested in learning more about themselves and growing towards their goals. I believe that you are the expert in the room, as you know yourself best! I am here to guide you towards your goals and provide a safe space for you to do so. I understand that therapy can seem intimidating, especially because we start out as strangers! I take this into account as we build our therapeutic relationship and tailor our conversations to best fit your goals and needs. I value honesty and communication in sessions, but I understand that may take some time. I'd love to help you reach your goals today!

You’ve checked every box and reached every milestone, yet beneath the surface, there is a quiet, heavy sense that something is missing. If you are the person everyone else leans on, I want you to know it’s okay to stop being the strong one for a while. My practice is a soft place for high-achieving and creative women to finally let go of the 'shoulds.' Together, we create a gentle space to breathe, slow down, and untangle the things that are keeping you from feeling truly connected to yourself.

My greatest passion is guiding individuals through pivotal life chapters and supporting them as they discover who they are and what they are capable of becoming. I am experienced in supporting young adults, students, and seekers navigating transitions, pressures, and existential questions. I aim to offer an alternative to those ready to move beyond traditional talk therapy that provides a space to actively build resilience, self-awareness, and a meaningful path forward. Experiential learning is a powerful tool and one that I utilize frequently, taking therapy outdoors as much as is comfortable to you.

Outwardly it may seem that you have everything together. Yet inside, you're experiencing a persistent undercurrent of sadness, loneliness, or self-doubt. Despite how far you’ve come, you still don’t feel good enough. You don’t feel as close to others as you yearn to be. Your strong sense of what you “should be” feeling or doing makes it hard for you to connect with your actual emotions, desires, and needs, leaving you feeling stuck, numb, or confused. No matter how hard you try, you can’t seem to obtain the security or satisfaction you seek.

I view challenges with self-worth as often rooted in life experiences, relationships, and trauma rather than personal shortcomings.
I’m a LGBTQIA+, neurodiversity, and relationship affirming therapist. I work from a trauma-informed, culturally responsive lens, honoring how personal history, relationships, identity, and systems impact mental health. I value nervous system regulation and radical self-care as essential components of sustainable healing, not just temporary relief.

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
