I am trained in EMDR and incorporate Internal Family Systems ( IFS)/parts work.
Is something keeping you from being the partner, parent, friend or family member you want to be? When you're feeling sad or nervous or if you're struggling with a troubling memory it can be hard to be the person you always imagined you'd be at this time in your life. I want to help you hold the weight you're carrying and figure out what it is that's holding you back.

Immediate availability for AETNA and SELF-PAY clients. Not feeling comfortable in your own skin? Struggling to adjust to life changes? These are normal parts of the human experience, but sometimes they strain our typical ability to cope. Too often, we blame ourselves for our own suffering. But in blaming ourselves, we miss plenty of nuance and deny the real causes of pain. My passion is to support you as you grow into the best version of yourself. Together, we’ll explore your story. As we go down this exciting road, I’ll help you create your own life narrative which works for you.

I’m formally trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and Internal Family Systems, which means we’ll go beyond surface-level talk and into real, lasting healing.
Are you feeling stuck in a painful cycle with someone you love? You may be trying everything you can to reconnect—only to end up feeling more misunderstood, more distant. It’s confusing when your best intentions seem to push your partner further away. The truth is, the people who matter most can also hurt us the most—not because they mean harm, but because they matter. When the bond feels fragile, even small moments can carry so much weight. Maybe you’ve tried fighting for connection, but it ends in blowups. Or you’ve tucked your pain away, only to feel even more alone. It’s exhausting—and it can feel hopeless.

My treatment approach integrates frameworks of trauma-focused care, Brainspotting, IFS, Somatic therapies, existential therapies.
We do the best we can for our lives, however, old and new trauma and life challenges may hold us back and create suffering. I have worked extensively with adults facing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, chronic pain, interpersonal issues and learnt that when people are given a safe environment to process their emotions, and held in compassion, there can be tremendous healing and big transformations. So no matter at what pace you want to go, this journey of healing and growth should not be a lonely one and I hope to be a part of your journey in your healing.

I primarily use EMDR, DBT, IFS and solution focused approaches to support desired change.
What's your story? We all have different themes that play out in our lives: some are helpful and inspiring while others are counterproductive and lead us so far off track from who we want to be that we feel lost. I am here to help you identify ways to live with awareness, how to intentionally move forward knowing what is motivating you more clearly so you are no longer reacting to old patterns in work, family, relationships and life. Empower yourself, to write a new chapter.

Accepting New Clients for Couples Therapy (session availability during the day) I enjoy understanding people’s life stories and how those experiences shape who they are and how they connect. In couples therapy, I bring curiosity to each partner’s inner world and to the space between them. My goal is to build a trusting relationship where both people feel safe to explore what hasn’t yet been fully understood—within themselves and their relationship. I help couples put words to complex experiences and make sense of the impact of their past, pain, and fears—individually and together.

I tailor my approach to each client’s unique personality and needs, drawing from from my training and experience with Internal Family Systems ( IFS), cognitive-behavioral interventions (CBT); mindfulness-based approaches; Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed therapy.
I generally do one-on-one therapy with teens (age 14 and up) and adults. I will often talk to potential new clients on the phone briefly to see if we would be a good fit working together. We will go over things like location, insurance, reason to be seen and schedule compatibility.

To my future clients, wow I'm so glad you've crossed my page. I'm not sure what it took to get to this point, but I am sure glad you did. I could give you the long spill of why I think this process is helpful and enlightening, but I won't. What I will tell you is; you are capable, you are strong, you are resilient and going through the psychotherapy process I hope you discover that too! You deserve to be seen, to feel valued and to be heard. Life has a way of knocking the wind out of you and causing you to question your existence. Resilience is one thing we all share; the capability of getting back up and breathe again. Breathe.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
