My approach brings 35 years of life and professional experience (and two corgis) to the therapy relationship. I am interested in working with people who seek guidance in finding personal meaning and the best quality of life possible. I operate from a solutions-focused, strengths-based perspective that sees my client as a unique person with the capacity for change rather than some "ism" or "ideology". I prefer not to dwell with people who are "stuck in a victim mentality" and see themselves as powerless. No conversations are too difficult nor off limits. My perspective is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy and existentialism.

I often think of those I work with as fellow travelers—a term borrowed from Dr. Irvin Yalom that reflects my belief in shared humanity. It dissolves the divide between “them” (the afflicted) and “us” (the healers), reminding us that no one is immune to life’s inherent challenges. In my practice, I strive to create a space where meaningful self-discovery and personal growth can unfold. My individualized approach allows me to honor each person’s unique story, and my own lived experiences deeply inform my commitment to this work. It’s a privilege to do this work, and I do it with intention, mindfulness, and authenticity.

I work with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship issues, and major life transitions, especially those who feel the weight of expectations and high pressure situations pulling them in every direction.
Many of the people I work with are struggling in their relationships whether that’s with a partner, family member, or themselves. Together, we explore the patterns that keep you stuck and build the clarity and confidence needed to create more authentic, fulfilling connections.
