Geriatric Therapists in Pittsburgh, PA
I often work with college and grad students, recent grads, artists, and older adults.
In our process, we explore what's difficult to be with on your own. Working towards sharing whatever is on your mind, we listen, think, and feel together, paying attention to patterns and emotions that may echo your past and our broader sociopolitical context. Exploring together what’s been difficult to think or feel through on your own can lead to some relief over time. Your patterns might show up in the therapy room, and we can work together to make sense of your unique experience—what it’s like to be you and be with you, with your specific relational background, shaped by the world and systems around us.

“At any moment, you have the power to decide that this is not how your story will end.” My work focuses on supporting individuals facing depression and everyday life challenges while fostering a positive, empathetic, nonjudgmental, and trusting therapeutic relationship.

My clients sometimes don't know what else to do. They may have tried traditional interventions. They have anxiety, grief, pain, phobias, addictions, eating disorders. They may have heard about hypnosis but aren't sure what it is. They may be LGBTQ & find a society that won't embrace who they are. Most often, my clients feels lost, out of sync and want to feel better, think better and live better. They want to know how to take this tool of Hypnosis out of their "toolbox" & use it for life. They believe in mind over matter. They have the courage to ask for help.

I support people who are experiencing burnout, stress, creative blocks, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and major life transitions. Dealing with these challenges can feel overwhelming, chaotic, and difficult to navigate, making it hard to connect with your sense of self, creativity, and motivation. Together, we can identify and address areas for change and growth while celebrating and nourishing your strengths, so that you feel clear, calm, and empowered.

I work with people who want to make changes that are rooted in parts of us that may not have been heard in a long time or maybe have never been heard before. I appreciate someone who will show up even when it is difficult to do so and understands that psychotherapy is a process. I recognize how this work is emotionally painful at times, and your commitment will allow me to help you work with feelings of depression, anxiety, anger, hopelessness, low self-worth, sensory issues, or maybe you are struggling with feelings and behaviors of addiction.

I believe therapy works best when it feels real. I show up as both a skilled clinician and a genuine person-because healing happens in relationship. When therapists hide behind a role, connection suffers. My style is conversational, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. I aim to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and safe enough to do meaningful work. I am experienced in serving those with living with trauma, dissociation, anxiety, somatic complaints, attachment issues, BPD, bipolar, and depression. I am also skilled in working with Veterans/Service Members and the Senior population.

My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, judgment-free space where you’re able to explore what is going on for you. I work from an anti-oppression lens with adults navigating sexual orientation and gender identity (inc. ace/aro/poly/kink), college or graduate students, and those struggling with chronic health.
