I work with individuals, couples, and other relational systems (friends, polycules, thruples, etc.). I love working with folks exploring racial/ethnic identity, queerness, non-monogamy, sexuality, and trauma healing. As a Brown, queer therapist, I particularly enjoy working with other QTPOCs. I believe that through collaboration we can create a therapeutic space that feels right for you. My hope is that our work together will allow you to develop greater capacity, deeper connections, and more softness in your life. You might even find greater clarity around your sense of self, your desires, and your relationships with others.

In life, it is not uncommon to find yourself stuck in patterns that no longer serve you but you are unsure of how to change. Perhaps at times you experience difficult emotions that you don't fully understand or know how to address. In my work as a psychotherapist, I provide a safe, collaborative environment in which clients can more freely get to know their emotional and physical states so that they may release distress and discover their more authentic self. I help clients to develop a more compassionate self-awareness and build greater flexibility in how they respond to the pressures and stressors of life.

I am a trauma-informed, integrative, EMDR trained therapist. I use ego states and parts work in conjunction with somatic work to help bring ‘online’ the left and right hemispheres of your brain. I am focused on treating the whole person and would like to have an open, honest conversation about what you are looking for and your treatment wants and needs.

Do you find yourself rehearsing conversations or analyzing interactions in your head? Or feeling constantly anxious your work won't be good enough or that you will be judged by others? Or getting frequently triggered in close relationships? These are usually driven by protective parts of us that are trying to help but they can get in the way of feeling our best. I believe we each have the inner resources to experience more calm, courage, connectedness, and confidence once we release the obstacles and burdens we carry and learn to relate to ourselves differently.

My work draws on relational, psychodynamic, somatic and transpersonal approaches.
I'm so glad you're here. The people who most resonate with my therapeutic approach tend to find me when they’re in the middle place between who they were and who they are becoming, sometimes directly following a loss or ending and other times when they are in the thick of a transition or identity shift that they don’t want to navigate alone. I have deep experience holding space for grief, life transitions, trauma processing and healing attachment wounds. If you are feeling disconnected from your authentic self and inner life force and longing to feel whole again, this may be the place for you.

" Everyone has the Ability to Change for a Healthier Self...." Choosing the right counselor/therapist is the first step to building a trusting relationship. After considering the therapist’s credentials, education and experience, ask them about themselves. You are the consumer, ask questions. You can then get a feeling if they are a good fit for you. Ask about their availability and Fees. Does their schedule work with yours?

Now Accepting New Clients for June: Individuals, couples, and families- Therapy is a collaborative journey of discovery. It is my belief that your healing lies in the gifts you have yet to uncover. As you learned to exist in this challenging world, these gifts often became adapted to meet your survival needs. Through a process that is gentle, intuitive and individually tailored my goal is to help you unearth your innate wisdom so you can move through your life with more lightness and ease.

Do your "symptoms" keep recurring despite your best efforts? Maybe you have recurring or chronic depression or anxiety, or are grieving a loss. Perhaps you feel like something is missing or wrong, even though you function well and have what others may consider a "good life." Or you might be struggling with your creativity, or with your identity. You may even understand that your struggles are rooted in childhood trauma, and yet, this insight hasn't led to much change... I would be honored to provide a safe space for you to deepen your healing journey, and help you get to know your true self.

You’ve engaged in therapy before, and gained insight and coping tools, yet still sense that healing hasn’t reached the deeper layers. Are you looking for a skilled approach to working with trauma, Complex PTSD, anxiety, or life's transitions?
My work is rooted in somatic trauma healing and building a deep trust in each person’s innate wisdom. Rather than pushing for change, I focus on cultivating internal safety and flexibility. This can allow for healing to unfold at a pace your nervous system can sustain. Together, we listen not only to your story, but to the quieter language of sensations, emotions, and protective patterns.

I view therapy as an opportunity to build meaning. This can be through either discovering new meaning or recognizing meaning that's been there all along. In building therapeutic relationships, I aspire to form genuine, authentic connections with patients. My specialities include working with those experiencing existential anxiety or dread, those with complicated grief, trauma survivors, those with persistent suicidal ideation, and those who use drugs and aren't interested in abstinence. I'm particularly interested in working with people skeptical of and/or haven't responded to psychotherapy in the past.

From an outsider perspective, you are someone who comes across as having it "all together" - you are self-aware, (maybe a little too) independent, ambitious, and usually the "solid" one on whom others rely - yet internally, you may feel a chronic sense of emptiness, distrust, and disconnection. Alternatively, you may live with overwhelming thoughts and emotions that you struggle to make sense of and contain. Through holistic creative practices that are tailored to empower you towards your most authentic self, I support deep feelers, creatives, seekers, and sensitive cycle breakers in rebuilding inner security.

Hi, I’m Mariah (they/she), a queer, neurodivergent eco-art therapist with over 10 years of experience. I am committed to healing work that honors liberation, creativity, and connection to the Earth.
I offer therapy as a space for unburdening, remembering, and reclaiming. Rooted in anti-oppressive practice, I work with those navigating the impacts of trauma, systemic harm, identity exploration, and the everyday labor of living in a world that often wasn’t built with us in mind. Together, we gently explore shadow parts and internal landscapes with curiosity—so you can access greater softness, freedom, and a fuller sense of self.

Transpersonal Therapists
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.
How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.
Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.
What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
