My approach is integrative, drawing from modalities such as Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Therapy for Recovery (CT-R), Motivational Interviewing, Music Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based practices.
In today’s fast-paced, overwhelming world, many people struggle with anxiety, depression, and overstimulation without knowing why. Often, these symptoms stem from unresolved past trauma stored in the nervous system. My own journey began with anxiety around perfection, rule-following, and pleasing others. Through extensive training, I’ve learned how to process trauma and restore balance. Now, I am here to support your healing journey. You deserve to become the best version of yourself!

I’m clear about the limits of therapy, how a lot of our pain comes from living in a pretty brutal society. But within that truth there is always room to explore: what -can- we change? What patterns are we stuck in that feel inevitable, but don’t have to be? I’ll create space, ask questions, and share reflections that help you experience yourself in ways that are hard to do alone. Over time, your relationship with yourself might get more curious, compassionate, honest, and aware - & that’s where things start to shift.

My clients are people navigating life transitions, learning to love their bodies, or questioning their gender identity and/or sexual orientation. Our time together might look like healing trauma, reconnecting with family, or using mindfulness exercises to create more bodily awareness. Through this process, I spend time with clients to discover the values and pieces of their identity making them who they are. A big part of my role is empowering these individual pieces so clients can feel whole.

I am also certified in EMDR, an evidence-based trauma therapy, and integrate creative and somatic approaches such as music therapy and yoga.
You fantasize daily about being someone who just can let things just roll off their shoulders and get on with life. Instead, you spend your time painstakingly reviewing that awkward conversation with your coworker or beating yourself up for turning down the invitation to your kind-of-friend’s birthday party. Everyone else seems to be able to handle social interactions smoothly and keep up with the frenetic pace of life, so the problem must be you. Or, could it be what happened to you? The past you thought you had “gotten over” is starting to show up more in your thoughts and dreams. You’re on edge, frustrated by your overreactions.

I earned my MMT in Music Therapy with a Counseling Endorsement in May 2025.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in a cycle of overthinking the pressures of life, maybe even feeling unseen? You’re not alone. Sometimes it’s hard to put what you’re feeling into words. Maybe you’ve learned to suppress it, overanalyze it, or carry it quietly because that’s what “being strong” was supposed to look like. Therapy offers a space to pause, explore what’s coming up, and begin understanding what’s underneath it all.

Life can feel like riding a rollercoaster without a seatbelt—school, friendships, family, and figuring out your future can pile up fast. Anxiety insists everything is urgent, depression whispers nothing’s worth it, and you’re stuck in the middle. I help teens and young adults cut through the noise, build coping tools that actually work, and start feeling more like themselves.

People come to therapy for so many different reasons, and no two journeys are the same. Yet if you have arrived on this page, you are at least curious. "What can therapy do for me? Is change even possible?" What if we took that curiosity and kept going with it? What might you find along the way? What strengths were there all along? Therapy doesn't always need to feel like surgery. Often the tools you need are already within reach...they can just be hard to see. Let's turn on a few lights and see what is there.

Music Therapy Therapists
How does music therapy work?
A music therapist will begin by assessing the client’s specific needs and getting a sense of their musical ability and interests. Musical training is not required, and clients of all ages can benefit from this type of therapy. The therapist will then make a plan for how to achieve the client’s therapeutic goal(s) using a range of receptive (e.g., listening to a song) and active (e.g., drumming in a group) music therapy techniques.

What are some common music therapy techniques?
Music therapy usually involves listening to music (either live or recorded). Music therapy clients may also make music on popular instruments, such as the piano, guitar, and hand drum, or sing. Sometimes music therapy can include guided imagery. A music therapist may ask clients to improvise on the spot or even compose their own songs. Dancing or moving to music can be an effective intervention to help clients feel more fully grounded in their bodies and remain in the present moment.

How does music therapy help with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)?
Music therapy can be a valuable creative outlet for clients with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) who have trouble putting their painful feelings into words. Listening to music can be relaxing while making music as part of a group provides plenty of opportunities to connect with other people. In addition to its mood-boosting effects, music therapy can help clients build resilience and overcome PTSD symptoms that may interfere with their daily lives.

How long does music therapy take?
Music therapy sessions generally last between 30 and 50 minutes. They can be scheduled in advance (for example, once a week) or can be done on an as-needed basis. Some clients will only require a handful of music therapy sessions to achieve their goals, while others may need months or longer, depending on their specific concern.
