My clinical approach is
Integrative
with a focus on Psychodynamic, Radically Open DBT, Cognitive and Mindfulness modalities.
Right now you may be dealing with Constant Worry, Difficult Relationships or Social Anxiety. Sometimes it's just hard to turn off your thinking, anxious about challenging tasks or too much to do. Sometimes you may not even know exactly why it is that you’re anxious! It could be that you have perfectionistic standards, the belief that you must do everything right. Self-blame, procrastinating or 'second-guessing' yourself. Maybe you fall into the Comparison Trap. You pour over social media, feeling inadequate compared to smiling people with perfect lives. I have also noticed a significant rise in Social Anxiety and loneliness.

My therapy approach is
integrative
, client centered, & depth oriented.
Seeking an intentional space for healing and discovery is a meaningful choice. Through curiosity, warmth, and honesty, I work collaboratively to support clients in connecting their history, relationships, environment, to their current challenges and future goals. I believe that all of our stories are contextual, therefore I work towards identifying oppression-based barriers and explore the environmental impact through an anti-oppressive and liberation lens. My focus is to create a space where you can be empowered, express your pain, learn new ways of coping, and continue to grow into your most authentic self.

integrative
, trauma-informed approaches, with an eclectic array of tools from other approaches.
I believe therapy is to be a safe, open, nonjudgmental space to explore stressors and goals on an individual and systemic level. A space for you to be seen, heard, and understood with kindness, cultural sensitivity, curiosity, and compassion. To get you to a place where you’re able to grow and thrive, not held back by certain pressures. I strive to create that safe space in therapy, to address difficult topics while making sure to highlight moments of joy and accomplishment as well. In finding balance, to find what works well for you, in healthy and adaptive ways, can help with being better equipped to face challenges in life

My personal and professional feminist values lead to a socially-aware,
integrative
approach to therapy that considers not just the mental health of the person in front of me, but also the world that the person lives in.
As a trauma-informed and radically affirming therapist, I aim to help clients with challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, self-image, relationships, eating disorders, and more. The majority of my clinical experience has been in working with LGBTQ+ clients as well as individuals with substance use challenges. I work from a sex positive, culturally-sensitive, and polyamory-aware lens and welcome discussion of these topics in therapy. Furthermore, as a therapist with foundations in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I incorporate mindfulness in therapy to help clients live a more psychologically flexible life.

I use an
integrative
approach to help my clients gain insight and self-awareness, which is the first step needed for healing, growth, and authentic change.
You are the expert on you, and you already possess all the tools necessary to heal and achieve your goals! Life experiences however can cause those tools or skills to become buried. In a safe and supportive therapeutic environment my role is to help uncover your “toolbox”, remove the broken or ineffective tools, sharpen the dull ones, and add a few new shiny ones. To embark on this counseling journey several critical therapeutic ingredients are needed: safety, empathy, and trust (SET). You'll lead and I'll closely follow, serving as a skillfully trained second pair of eyes and ears.

I was originally trained in Jungian analysis and am of the mindset that people are more than just their diagnosis and implement an exploratory, clinically-
integrative
, and solution-oriented approach.
I approach patient care with the belief that we all have the inner resources needed for healing. Being in therapy does not need to be a life-long process yet one can gain invaluable insight as well as emotional and mental support from working with a seasoned clinician. The therapeutic process should help one to become increasingly more honest with self and ultimately more capable of enjoying life's precious moments.

With over a decade of therapeutic experience utilizing an
integrative
and holistic approach to healing, I am skilled at supporting individuals and families who are struggling with life transitions, emotional and energetic imbalances, low self-esteem, trauma, and energetic sensitivities often identified as being an "empath".
Are you struggling to find peace? Do you feel destined for more? I believe that each of us is born with a life purpose and when we are not in alignment with that energy we can feel stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, uncertain, and even depressed. Together, we will explore the past, examine the present, and manifest a future that you’ve always desired. A few simple shifts in your awareness is often all that is needed to change your perception and heal the parts of your life that you are presently struggling with. I will help you obtain clarity, find peace and balance, and discover or awaken parts of yourself that have yet to be explored.

My therapeutic approach is
integrative

Your most well-intentioned friend or internet guru might have you believe that fixing your problems is a quick process that involves simple mantras and just doing things differently. In contrast, I believe that it is possible in time and in the context of developing a genuine and safe therapeutic relationship, for you to feel understood, cared for and free to express yourself while creating change. My clinical experience lies in helping those through relationship troubles, uncomfortable and painful feelings, addiction to substances, feelings of depression and anxiety, or just a quiet sense that something is not right.

Many of us experience times of uncertainty. The challenges we confront may seem overwhelming, but we don't have to face them alone. There is very little that happens to us in life from which we cannot recover and rebuild. Therapy is one way to do so. Therapy involves a special conversation from which new possibilities emerge. From living and listening to people over the years I have discovered that our sufferings initially seem like unwelcomed guests but also invite us to the doorstep of love, humility and healing.

I am an

practitioner, informed by modalities that focus on nervous system regulation, such as polyvagal theory and somatic mindfulness approaches.
You struggle to name how you're feeling or what exactly is "wrong"; all you know is that you're exhausted, overwhelmed, and ready for something to change. Although some things may be difficult to speak about, we all face hardship - it certainly has a way of finding us! Whether you're trying to make sense of past trauma, navigating relationship and family challenges, or living in the aftermath of a significant loss, I work with the belief that healing happens when we are seen, heard, and given a compassionate space to grow.

Integrative Therapists
What is integrative therapy?
Integrative therapy is a type of therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the individual client. By merging elements of different treatments, an integrative therapist aims to offer a more flexible approach than those who practice just one type of therapy.
How does integrative therapy work?
Integrative therapy approaches a client’s mental, physical, and emotional health in a holistic way to discover the sources of their unhealthy behavior patterns or other challenges and considers the approach most likely to lead to improvement. Among the techniques an integrative therapist may practice are cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, art or music therapy, psychodynamic therapy, breathwork, family systems therapy, gestalt therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. An integrative therapist regularly evaluates the client’s progress and is prepared to pivot to a different approach if progress stalls.
How long does integrative therapy last?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for integrative therapy; people who find they are making progress typically continue until they feel they’ve addressed the issues that spurred them to seek treatment. New patients should understand that it may take some time for a therapist to land on a treatment approach that best meets their needs, but once they do, they should expect sessions to extend for a number of months, typically including at least 12 sessions.
How effective is integrative therapy?
There are hundreds of types of talk therapy, and research shows that while they vary in form, goals, and frequency, many if not all can produce similarly successful outcomes. But a single approach does not always deliver the greatest, or speediest, benefit, and so even therapists primarily trained in one model will use tools, language, techniques, or exercises from others to shape an effective treatment plan.
