Are your difficulties around intimacy or communication leaving you feeling stuck and extremely hopeless? Is your relationship seriously lacking in the sex department? You’re struggling to feel close and loved again.. The lack of intimacy has lead you to question your relationship and you have considered leaving. Are you struggling with a lack of desire or performance anxiety? Maybe your feeling a loss of control and out of touch with your body? Has the thought of intimacy left you feeling anxious, broken and inadequate? Your struggling with feeling confident and sexy. Life is so hectic and busy you can’t even think about sex.

The ways you learned to survive the past often dictate how you relate in the present. You might feel "too much," chronically misunderstood, or exhausted from masking your true self. Whether you are navigating life solo or struggling to find rhythm in your partnership, it can feel like you’re constantly "on" or deeply disconnected. I work with individuals and couples moving through the lasting impact of traumatic upbringings, grief, and neurodivergence. My practice is a sanctuary from "performing"; a place to make sense of what your mind and body have been trying to protect you from.

Did something happen at work, life, or in your relationship that shook things up or shattered you? I'm extremely good at helping ambitious women & MEN who might otherwise NOT want to be in counseling. I specialize in treating fellow doctors, lawyers or high-net worth individuals who require a therapist that can match their intellect and caliber. If you’re here, you may feel like you are surviving instead of living life. It’s disappointing when you have gotten so far in life, and yet, your world starts to resemble something you want to retreat from, not something you relish. It’s not surprising that you don’t feel like yourself.

Waitlist for new clients
Most of my clients are LGBTQ folks or couples who are looking to heal from infidelity and other betrayal trauma.
I believe that problems often arise when people become stuck in negative thought patterns or interaction cycles. When individuals hold onto limiting narratives about themselves, these beliefs can become the root of various issues. My ideal client is someone who feels trapped by these patterns, whether in their personal life or relationships, and is eager to break free. They seek to transform these harmful cycles, aiming to achieve personal growth and stronger, healthier connections with others. Their goal is to reclaim their narrative, empowering themselves to create a more enriching and meaningful life.

Most couples who find their way here have already tried talking it through — and keep ending up in the same place. Most couples who find their way here have already tried talking it through — and keep ending up in the same place. The problem usually isn't effort or intention. It's that they're missing a framework built on what actually works. I'm a Gottman Method Level 3 practitioner with 15 years teaching communication at NYU Tisch. I work with couples navigating conflict, emotional distance, eroded trust, and affair recovery — and with individuals dealing with anxiety, burnout, and major life transitions.

Whether we are navigating transitions into non-monogamy, or healing from infidelity, we’ll work on the practical skills to help you say "yes" and "no" with confidence.
Do you feel like you’re failing at a "script" you never signed up for? When you find yourself in the space between rejecting old scripts but not yet knowing what your new scripts will be, the weight of the unknown can be paralyzing. Most challenges are fueled by a fear of being "wrong." I help you move past those 'right' and 'wrong' binaries and develop a deep relationship with your own intuition. When you are no longer fighting yourself, you have the energy to truly connect with others.

Additional areas of treatment include: counseling divorce/separation and break-up issues, infidelity, restructuring life following a loss, catastrophic event, managing cancer survivorship and developing coping strategies following life transitions (loss of job/graduating from college), supportive treatment for infertility struggles, as well as, treatment for anxiety, depression, and stress.
For over 20 years, I have helped clients to develop effective methods of communication and personal empowerment. Working together, we develop a personalized strategy for gaining control over identified life issues that have seemed insurmountable or complicated. I utilize techniques which increase self-esteem, and use of the models of cognitive therapy/family systems therapy.

Many of us were never taught how to build deep, lasting intimacy. That’s why I offer a skills-based approach focused on key relational tools: self-connection, intimate sharing, deep listening, clear requesting, and repairing after conflict. Instead of assuming incompatibility or hoping your partner will change, I help you engage relationships as dynamic, evolving systems that thrive with care and intention.

Infidelity Therapists
How does therapy for infidelity work?
A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.

How long does therapy for infidelity take?
Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.

How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?
When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.

How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?
Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
