I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) practicing in Pennsylvania. I use a non-judgmental, humanist lens to support clients' inherent ability to heal. I believe that healing happens at a meeting place between 1) accepting and deeply feeling your feelings, 2) reprocessing your painful experiences into new stories/lessons, and 3) creating a compassionate internal voice to guide you forward. Using humor, insight, and caring questioning, I help clients reconnect with their aliveness, vitality, and purpose.

Seeking therapy can feel overwhelming—uncertainty, self-doubt, and emotional distress may make it difficult to take that first step. You might be struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others. Perhaps you're carrying the weight of cultural expectations, identity struggles, or past experiences that shape your present. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Therapy is not just about alleviating emotional pain; it’s also an opportunity for self-reflection and growth.

With over 20 years of experience, I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, somatic therapy, the Gottman Method, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness based strategies.
Despite your success there's a part of you who is still unsettled. Perhaps this part is holding on to fear, living in the past, or reacting in ways which no longer fit the life you've created. Maybe you know this part, maybe you're afraid to look at it. Together, we can help you soothe this part and the fear or pain it holds, so you can live more fully, peacefully, and aligned.

My ideal clients are individuals and couples who feel stuck in repetitive patterns—arguments that go nowhere, moments of distance that feel confusing, or dynamics shaped by ADHD, betrayal, or unmet needs. They may love each other deeply yet feel misunderstood, unheard, or unsure how to move forward. They want clarity, trust, and a way to communicate that actually connects rather than escalates. Most of all, they want to understand themselves and their partner more fully so they can build a relationship that feels secure, honest, and aligned with their values.

I am a therapist with many years of experience and have several post-graduate certifications, but I understand very well that being an open and engaging professional is essential to help people feel comfortable to talk about how to untangle their issues. The therapeutic relationship is "a must" and I am often sought out because of my ability to connect easily with others. My speciality includes depression, anxiety, grief and trauma which so many individuals have experienced. Please feel free to call with questions you have about therapy or about me. I am licensed in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Kentucky.

I work with people struggling with general life transitions, self-esteem issues, postpartum issues, and ADHD. Most of my clients feel "stuck" in life or feel like "bad adults" because they struggle with managing their lives/responsibilities or struggle with feeling positively about themselves. I frequently work with people navigating new phases of life who are trying to figure out the transition and how it may impact their identity. I enjoy working with individuals who are highly motivated to make change and have the desire for a deeper understanding of themselves, and their relationships, but may be unsure of where to start.

Gottman Method Therapists

How does the Gottman method work?

One of the core doctrines of the Gottman method is that negative emotions hurt relationships about five times more than positive emotions help them. Thus, couples require five times more positive interactions than negative interactions with each other. The therapist will guide clients on how to improve communication and understanding of each other to manage conflict and have their emotional needs met. The therapist will also advise couples on how to repair relations with each other when conflict arises, and therefore avoid lasting damage.

Is the Gottman method evidence-based?

Yes, this method is an evidence-based approach to couples therapy. The method is based on more than 40 years of research by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, the psychologists who developed the method. The Gottmans analyzed decades of data to draw conclusions about what types of interactions are likely to lead to specific results, and which interventions are most likely to lead to success. Studies have found that this approach leads to improvements in relationship satisfaction, intimacy, communication skills, and a lower rate of divorce.

How long does the Gottman method take?

The duration of treatment depends on the specific challenges clients face. Sessions are typically 60 to 90 minutes long, and an average course of treatment is around 10 sessions. In some cases, such as for couples dealing with a critical problem, the therapist will suggest an intensive course of treatment, with daily sessions over the first two to four days. Treatment is complete when the couple is satisfied and has met the goals they’ve set, and when the therapist believes they have the skills to continue on their own.

Is the Gottman method effective?

Through the Gottman method, couples can achieve changes that are real and sustainable. This treatment has been used for more than 40 years; the method is supported by empirical research, including randomized controlled trials that have demonstrated effectiveness in improving relationship outcomes for couples. Like any talk therapy, success or failure depends in large part on how committed the clients are to making positive changes and working toward results.
