I am a level 2 practitioner of Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy ( AEDP).
You don't have to go through it alone. Even when we are feeling stuck and overwhelmed, meaningful change is possible. I take a solution oriented approach that applies modern techniques for exploring and shifting old patterns of feeling and thinking that are getting in the way of growth. Employing curiosity and compassion, we can heal wounded parts and build new connections to your authentic self. A primary focus of my couples work is to practice new ways of communicating our needs more effectively with both our partners and ourselves. I also specialize in supporting the unique concerns and strengths of the LGBTQIA+ community.

I use MI and Solution Focused concepts, and am currently level I training in AEDP.
Welcome! I'm Natalie. I provide ecotherapy and individual counseling to support folks working through life's challenges and building internal resilience. I offer in-person as well as virtual availability and sliding scale rates through Open Path Collective. Together, we can explore spiritual themes to gain insight, process challenging emotions safely, ask confronting questions non-judgmentally, and/or brainstorm relevant resources and support systems custom tailored to your current unmet needs. I believe therapy requires courage to navigate pain and life's challenges, but it can also be a fun and joyous space.

If you are dealing with the impact of past or current trauma, all while trying to keep it together and manage the stress of daily life- you are in the right place. I work with adults and teens (16+) who want to heal, but feel like they can never quite find a therapist that they can be real with. You may be facing relationship challenges and attachment wounds, anxiety and low self-worth, past patterns resurfacing, or approval seeking and perfectionism. You deserve time and space to navigate these complexities, to untangle the threads of your experiences, and to rediscover profound self-compassion and connection.

The very same interpersonal and thinking patterns that cause us distress were often initially formed as brilliant adaptations to the conditions of our unjust world. While those patterns helped us survive, they may also have diminished our capacities to attune to ourselves, form nourishing relationships, and experience pleasure, curiosity, and ease. I believe healing is made possible by investing in a process of understanding our patterns, coming back into relationship with all parts of ourselves, and strengthening our capacities for feeling, regulation, and thoughtful action. I am honored to support my clients on this journey.

As a trauma and attachment focused practice, we sit with what doesn’t show on the surface: kids who hold it together all day at school then unravel at home, adults who “get it” in their heads but can’t feel change in their bodies, parents trying to break cycles they were never shown how to heal. We don’t do one-size-fits-all therapy, and we offer depth beyond CBT or DBT. Our clinicians are trained in IFS, EMDR, play therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and more: trauma-informed, relational work that helps healing land in your body, not just your head.

Hello! I’m Lucy. I’m a Licensed Social Worker with experience supporting individuals learning to cope with stress, manage difficult emotions, and navigate life changes. These adjustments can be challenging, so my goal is to create a space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. I think real change comes with curiosity and compassion. Together, we can work to build coping skills and explore how life experiences have shaped who you are today. My approach is integrative and insight-oriented, drawing from CBT, ACT, and Internal Family Systems (if you have questions about what any of these mean, feel free to ask!).

Sometimes life is messy and navigating it on our own can feel overwhelming. Whether you are facing a life transition, a change in relationship, or a serious illness or grief, you may find yourself struggling. Recognizing this is a big step and reaching out for help is one of the bravest things you can do. I value each human's uniqueness and approach therapy from a place of warmth, compassion and free of judgment. I believe that a good therapeutic relationship allows us to be seen, heard and offers an opportunity for healing and growth.

I am trained primarily in AEDP, mindfulness and somatic tools to help you access this potential.
Therapy is an opportunity to heal or get help in relationship. I work with individuals who want more than just tools. My goal is to allow for safe, deep, satisfying, and sometimes hard, but always enlivening conversations. My patients therefore hold a special place in my heart. I work with adults and college students who struggle with relationship, identity stressors, dissociation, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I frequently work with clients who have a co-morbid ADHD or Autism diagnosis. In addition to deep work, I can help you define goals and offer targeted treatments. I can see clients who travel in PA, NY, CT online.

Often, I used AEDP to support growth through relationship and experience.
I work with a wide range of people, who feel stuck or limited in relationships, or struggle with how they experience emotion and connection with others. I often work with clients who feel wounded by experiences in their family of origin or feel the powerful impact of social inequity. I also enjoy working with people in the arts and creative fields, LGBTQIA+ clients, poly/ENM clients, and supporting men in deepening their emotional experiences. As a relational, experiential therapist, we will use our work as a model for exploring feelings and new experiences, both within and outside of therapy.

My approach to therapy is one that prioritizes the creation of a relationship that is safe, mutual, and honest. I value knowing my clients as a person and prioritize understanding and appreciating their perspective. I work together with my clients to identify negative patterns in their life and provide the opportunity to create new, healthy experiences.

Welcome! I work with individuals and couples who are looking to live a richer and less restricted life navigating anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. I also have a special interest in supporting people navigating all transitions of the perinatal period/parenthood: fertility, pregnancy, abortion, miscarriage, birth, and postpartum. I work best with folks who are looking to know themselves deeply and want to extend that understanding to their relationships. I approach therapy from a relational/depth psychodynamic lens that prioritizes the therapeutic relationship and allows us to see your lifelong patterns more clearly.

People usually find me when they’ve hit the limits of managing things on their own. They’ve read the books, done the mindfulness, powered through but something deeper keeps pulling them back to the same place. In our work, we look underneath the surface of symptoms to the emotional patterns that keep you stuck. Anxiety and depression often trace back to how we learned to relate, to protect, please, perform, or disappear. In therapy, those patterns start to show up between us, giving us the chance to see them clearly and create something new something more honest and alive.

As a prelicensed professional pursuing my doctorate, I empower clients by working collaboratively and allowing you to direct the session. I am well-equipped to help individuals who struggle to articulate emotions by utilizing creative modalities and mindfulness practices that will be unique to each client. Clients who would benefit most would be those who intellectualize problems, are open to exploring past feelings and experiences, seek to understand behavioral patterns, want help maintaining interpersonal relationships, or desire deeper growth and self-discovery.

Finding a therapist who feels like a good fit is an important decision. I work with people who are depth-oriented and want more capacity to connect with themselves and others. Many of my clients are therapists, spiritual leaders and practitioners, and people seeking to better understand themselves in service of greater freedom, authenticity, and aliveness. To me, this is sacred work, and I feel honored and humbled to accompany others in their journey of healing, integration, and becoming - a journey that I, myself, have been consciously on for decades.

AEDP Therapists

Who is AEDP therapy for?

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is for adults who have experienced emotional pain in the past that, because it has not been adequately addressed and processed, interferes with current functioning. The problems might manifest in a number of different ways, from excessive anger to relationship difficulties to PTSD to eating disorders, poor self-esteem, and depression. They may also be accompanied by physiological symptoms. AEDP helps people accept and digest challenging emotional experiences.

Why do people need AEDP?

People need AEDP as a way to manage distressing emotions—including anger, shame, and guilt—that in some way hamper the ability to function and form satisfying relationships in the present. The therapist-client relationship is believed to provide corrective emotional and relational experiences that facilitate positive changes in brain function, forge pathways for processing traumatic experiences, and allow resolution of emotional pain.

What happens in AEDP therapy?

Once individuals have established a strong bond with the AEDP therapist and the therapist has established a safe and secure environment, clients are encouraged to explore their most painful emotional experiences. They may be asked to pay attention to disquieting body sensations as well as to psychological discomfort. Individuals learn how to process emotions, rather than avoid them. Through the strength of the therapist-client bond, each session is intended to provide a powerful positive experience for individuals, enabling growth.

What problems does AEDP treat?

AEDP is intended to treat the unprocessed emotional pain caused by earlier distressing experiences, which commonly includes behavioral avoidance of current situations and experiences for fear that they will reactivate painful feelings. Emotional pain and avoidant behavior play a role in a wide array of mental health conditions, which is why AEDP is applied to the treatment of a range of disorders including depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship difficulties, and eating disorders.
