I believe in "hope" no matter what the circumstances. For twenty five years I provided social work services for adolescents and families in the city of Philadelphia. I've encountered many devastating situations but I watch hope, coupled with determination turn the situations around. I specialize in individual, couples, family, and adolescent therapy. I am a gifted therapists with compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. I listen deeply and journey along side you as new truths are revealed and old wounds are explored and healed.

I love my approach to brain wave training with neurofeedback. It is broadly effective at producing substantial results in your life that are enduring. Most often I see people with anxiety, depression, insomnia, ADHD, migraine, PTSD, addictions, bipolar and autism. I believe that most people with psychological issues have brain wave activity that is either over-aroused or under-aroused. That is, either too much or too little brain wave activity in either the fast or slow frequencies. Mental problems are a timing issue in the brain. These timing issues can be corrected by practicing a better way to function.

Good therapist "fit" is key. I am best suited to those who need an authentic and compassionate therapist who understands interpersonal relationships. Currently I'm the primary therapist for all female adult trauma unit, inpatient psy. hospital where we help people in crisis & to transition back home w/ healthy coping skills, strategies and support systems. I also work with Philadelphia school system in facilitating dance movement therapy session with children on the spectrum ages 7-9. In my private practice I continue to work in the area of verbal psychotherapy (individual, couples & group) and Dance/Movement therapy and CBT techniques. My work encompasses therapy with Individuals dealing with a large range of issues; including but not limited to, children with severe emotional disturbance, autism spectrum disorders, physical disabilities, victims of abuse and neglect, families in crisis, adults with mental illness and dual diagnosis, couples in need of support to build healthy relationship. Lastly, I have served as a clinical supervisor/Co-Supervisors for interns in several schools such as Drexel University, PCOM (Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine) and Lasalle University, in which I love to teach, guide and inspire other professional to the field.

My main practice is focused on treating trauma and attachment. My trauma training and education is broad and ongoing. I provide treatment to clients age 12 and over and have worked with survivors of domestic violence, rape, sexual abuse, child abuse and neglect. I incorporate EMDR into my practice whenever applicable and use an integrative approach that includes attachment theory, IFS, mindfulness and trauma psychoeducation.
