Do you find yourself stuck in the same patterns—feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward? Whether you’re navigating a life transition or struggling in your relationships, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Many of the ways we relate to ourselves and others are shaped by attachment and past experiences. Trauma and early relationships can leave lasting imprints, even if you’re not fully aware of them. In therapy, we’ll work to understand the “why” behind your thoughts, emotions, and reactions—so you can begin to respond in new, more intentional ways.

Hi! I'm Brittany, a neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist. I offer a safe space for all, as we work collaboratively within a calm, supportive and non-judgmental environment. It would be a privilege to work with you, as I utilize my therapeutic approach to gain a better understanding of yourself, how you relate and navigate the interpersonal relationships in your life, your environment, or however you choose to utilize your therapy. I love working with individuals and groups who have experienced relationship or systems-based trauma, whether in childhood or adulthood. This can include physical, sexual, verbal, emotional, financial, spiritual, or systemic traumas and may be the result of abusive relationships or living as a marginalized individual in an inadequate and harmful system. I believe that the "symptoms" associated with trauma don't occur because there is "something wrong with you." Rather, I believe that they are evidence of your body and mind's inherent wisdom and ability to establish safety and sovereignty over your own life.

You wake up each day exhausted, dreading what waits ahead. You’re hungry, sad, anxious, mad–maybe all of those at once. You hide the truest version of yourself in exchange for human connection & struggle to say “no,” even when you want to, because the cost of disappointing others is greater than the cost of disappointing yourself. The world feels overwhelming–too fast, noisy, bright, unpredictable. Your brain says: If you were stronger, tried harder, were less sensitive–the list goes on and on–then life would be different, better, easier.

You know something isn’t working, but you can’t quite put your finger on it. Maybe relationships feel harder than they should, anxiety is running the show, or old wounds keep resurfacing in ways you don’t expect. You’ve tried to push through, to analyze, to control the discomfort—but that hasn’t brought the relief you were hoping for. I help people who feel stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand, untangling the past so they can show up differently in the present.

Domestic Abuse Therapists
What are the most effective ways to recover from domestic abuse?
Leaving an abusive relationship requires tremendous courage, so survivors in treatment should recognize that they have already completed the most important step. Still, the trauma of physical or emotional abuse can be difficult to process and overcome. Therapy can help survivors process trauma, grief, and difficult emotions, treat relevant mental health symptoms, and create a new framework for boundaries and relationships in the future. For some, support groups can also be an invaluable outlet for healing.
When should an individual seek help for domestic abuse?
Victims of intimate partner violence should seek help immediately. It can take substantial time, planning, energy, and courage to leave an abusive relationship, but starting the process—by seeking therapy, calling the domestic violence hotline, or simply confiding in a loved one—will help them get there. Those who have left abusive relationships but haven’t sought treatment can also greatly benefit from therapy to process and heal from the experience.
What are the consequences of staying in an abusive relationship?
Remaining in an abusive relationship has serious repercussions. In addition to the ongoing threat of physical danger and emotional abuse, research shows that intimate partner violence is associated with a range of mental health disorders including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and substance abuse. Therefore it’s important for individuals in an abusive relationship to seek help as soon as possible.
How can you get domestic abuse treatment for someone else?
It can be very complicated to identify and leave an abusive relationship; barriers include the threat of violence, financial instability, and family pressures. Those concerned about a loved one in an abusive relationship should talk to them about the situation, provide them with resources such as the domestic violence hotline, and introduce the idea of seeing a therapist due to their concern for the person’s safety and well-being.
