I am a pediatric psychologist who works with children, teens, young adults, and families facing complex challenges, including medical illness, grief, trauma, developmental concerns, and school-related needs. Some children and families are dealing with more than one thing at a time. It may be a medical diagnosis alongside school struggles. Grief layered on top of anxiety. Developmental concerns in the middle of a family transition. Or a child who is trying to manage something hard while the adults around them are doing the same. Families usually find their way to me when something feels more layered than expected.

Healing isn’t easy & taking the first step of seeking a therapist takes a lot of courage. Healing involves being patient & kind with yourself, along with stepping out of your comfort zone in order to talk about tough things so you can grow. Often in life we are faced with many challenges and feel like we are just stuck. My role as your therapist is to help you sort out these emotions and experiences that have you feeling like you are hitting a wall. Together we will work to identify unhealthy patterns and develop skills to help you take control of your life.

I will use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to help you build insight, cultivate coping skills to better manage your mind, and live a life that is rooted in your values.
Hi I'm Keith, and I'm a licensed therapist in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida. In life you have two choices- to live like or unlike the person you want to be. It's easy to look around and notice certain parts of your life that do not reflect the way you want to be living. Maybe you feel burdened by difficult emotions like anxiety or depression. Perhaps you're struggling with your identity, relationships or work. It could be that you're going through changes and feel overwhelmed, stressed out or lonely. Whatever the case may be, I'm here to help you find balance and live a life that looks more like the one you want to have.

Do you feel worry, restless, or overwhelm? Do you have a critical voice that's really harsh, wanting you to be perfect or to please others? Have you noticed yourself feeling hopeless, not good enough, or stuck? Do you have behaviors that you can't seem to overcome or change no matter how hard you try? My clients learn how to separate from the parts of them that takeover, understand their thoughts and impulses, allow their true self to take the lead, and access curiosity, calm, clarity, and courage. That being said, I’m a very casual therapist who provides a human experience. Let's be human together!

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
